This is a great place to stop on a nice day for a drink or so. In regards to food and hte bakery, prices are a bit inflated. A bowl of soup ran for about 7 euros, and came with tasty bread. The soup itself, which was minestrone, was a bit odd. There were only scraps of noodles, almost like... More

This was a fabulous place. We sat in the outdoor garden, which was beautiful. The food was fresh, flavor some and beautifully presented. The staff were friendly and prompt. We had the soup, beautiful favour and Mediterranean mixed dish, Devine. Would def come back! Well worth a visit.

After a long slog on foot along the canal from Bruges, we found the town a little dead on Saturday morning. After visits to the strange Oorlog en vrede - War and Peace "loneliest bookshop in town" and the pretty site of the former herring market, we were looking for a little light lunch. Tante Marie's certainly came up with... More

We took the paddle steamer from Bruges to Damme. Nice way to spend a few hours visiting this pretty little place. We found a lovely cafe, Tante Marie serving delicious food and amazing desserts. Very busy when we visited early afternoon, service was attentive and we enjoyed our time here in the sunny terrace area.

Great meal, a little bit pricy but very well prepared and well worth it. My wife had the quiche and I had the scampi. Both meals were delicious, flavorful and well prepared. Service was good and the outdoor patio in back of the restaurant is the place to be on a sunny day.

Bright, airy and welcoming. Lunch here was somewhat on the expensive side for a brasserie / café, but honestly you get what you pay for. The menu is home prepared to order, the waitress staff multi lingual and very professional. The desserts are to die for. Not cheap but not in any way disappointing.

Came here for lunch on our wedding anniversary and we weren't disappointed. Excellent service, lovely surroundings and the food was delicious. Can' fault it in any way. We liked it so much we went back for afternoon tea the next day after our bike ride!

Many tourists visiting Bruges may end up in Damme, a picturesque Flemish village 5 to 6 miles from the touristic city. In summer you can even get there by boat over the canal. The market place and the coffeehouses and brasseries nearby will enchant all tourists. Well, just get a little further and you will discover Tante Marie. Pastry, but... More
