A very nice quiet setting for a special birthday with family. Service was exquisite and our seven-course lunch was presented by knowledgeable and attentive staff. Wine choices were excellent. Food was well prepared. We dined indoors but very nice outdoor facilities are available open to the skies on warm grey days, but covered by large overhead canopy on sunny days.

Very innovative and creative cuisine in a modern and clean interior. The terrace, only for aperitif, is very relaxing and in the middle of green. One of the best restaurants in the Leuven area.

We go regularly to the better restaurants to explore new tastes and while we know these things cost more we expect some kind of value in return. In the case of couvert couvert the prices are not in line with what we received on our plates. While all ingredients are of top notch quality, it is not hard to find... More

This is NOT your ordinary garden-variety eatery. If you like to go somewhere just to eat you would miss the point of this restaurant. We chose for the seven course menu with matching wine. Each course, each snack and each wine choice was meticulously put together with rare and fine ingredients that complemented each other very well. You need time... More

"If you can", moneywise I mean. It is expensive indeed, buth worth it (for us: only on special occasions). I agree that portions are rather small, but what do you expect for a 6 ore 8 course dinner (plus 6 appetizers and lots of (delicious) mignardises with the cofee?. Very innovative cuisine at very top level. If you fancy cheese... More

Belgium is very densely populated by good restaurant and I visit regularly, but it had been a long time that Belgian cuisine did not surprise me so much. Creativity and innovation are always balanced and the results are invariably elegant and at the same time surprising. I can say that out of the tasting menu (yes, try that!) of 6... More

I discovered Couvert Couvert somewhat 14 years ago. In those times the restaurant didn't have a Michelin star and was for me the best restaurant ever around Leuven area...immaculate combination of taste and flavors, wonderful dishes, refined food and always something new. Overall I visited the restaurant 5 to 6 times before the Michelin Star. This year I went back,... More

It is a good restaurant and might be on its way to perfection. The setting is nice in the back of a house of a non-insipiring flemish street. It has a terrace which unfortunately we could not use due to even more un-inspiring weather. Inside the linen-clothed tables with swedish style chairs are seated widely apart, so you feel private... I had the pleasure to come here recently after being external examiner of a PhD thesis at a local university (one of the best in Belgium; the candidate passed too) as part of a group of 8. WHAT AN EVENING!!! The restaurant is exceptional, full choices of indoor or outdoor dining, a warm professional welcome, clear views into the kitchen... More

This is a marvelous restaurant. It has one Michelin star which means it's still affordable, but the quality of food and wine beats almost everything I've had in Belgium (including a series of two star and one three star restauirant). There is no doubt in my mind that for a high level culinary experience, there is no better value-for-money in... More
