This is a Japanese restaurant right next door to the Best Western. The food is slightly on the costlier side. However, the quality and the ambiance compensate for that!

One Saturday evening we felt for having sushi, however that is not so easy to find in this particular area of Belgium. Then we tracked down Q-Taro in Turnhout, which seemed to have a nice all-you-can-eat concept. However looking at the menu, it became clear that it was more a wannabe sushi-restaurant. The selection of belgian beers is of course... More

Usually sushi is pay per piece, this place allows you to try a lot of options all at a fixed price, around 22 Euro on weekdays. They have the standards, tuna and salmon, sushi/sashimi and then some others (like surf clam, beef sushi, and st jacob scallop). You can also order all sorts of sides (included in the price), such... This place was convenient as it was located next to the the train station where I arrived and was adjacent to the Best Western Turnhout City Hotel where I was staying. I decided on this restaurant as it was a snowy, slippery day in Belgium and convenience was preminent in the decision-making process. The way this place worked by their... More

Pretends to be Japanese when owners are Chinese, food and "all you can eat concept" has nothing to do with Japan. Beware if you can eat as many sushi's as you like for a set price - you can imagine the quality. People think it's a trendy concept but they are fooled by their ignorance of what Japanese food is.... Close to a bus stop and train station. Nice building with acceptable outdoor space. The outdoor lighting is a bit white and hard, but that's hardly a reason not to visit :-). Friendly staff. Good menu-card, Less than 5% limited quantity items: a selection of sashimi or some more exclusive food like lobster, which requires supplementary payments in other all-you-can-eats,... More

We loved the environment, friendly staff and the food off course. Our favourits: beef terryaki and sushi with salmon.
