Looks like Madikeri has very few eating choices. I found this place only average - Pro's: - The food tastes good, especially the Coorg-traditional non-vegetarian chicken/pork items, and the accompanying nool-puttu (noodles) and kadambuttu (rice balls) - Value for money Con's: - The place is tightly packed during lunch-time - Service is exasperatingly slow - Too little variety, just the... If you have come all the way to Coorg and have not been to this place its a waste. This place represents the culture and cuisine of Coorg. Must taste the Pandi curry with rice balls, noodles and akki roti.

I don't know why anyone would want to come to this restaurant. Disinterested service; more than half the menu advertised will not be available. We changed our order 3 times because each time the clueless waiter would come back and inform us that an item was not available. If they serve food, they might not serve you water and of... More

Quality of the meat and taste. No one can beat this. A well run no frill restaurant.Prices are quite reasonable.

The place was a let down. The fresh lime soda served was almost flat, lost its fizz. The food served was lukewarm. Looks like the promoters have lost the zeal with the passing of time. Must avoid if one wants to try kodava/coorg cuisine the first time. Else it will leave a wrong impression.

After eating at the Taj Vivanta this was average. The food was very spicy- only to be expected but it could have been tastier. it certainly was affordable - the spicy pork was nice . The prawns were okay.

This was recommended to me by a friend. It was not up to expectations. All the dishes were very dry, and there were no dishes with curry. Adding to the misery, dessert was also not there, which appears to be fairly common, after going through the other reviews. But yes akki roti and rice were really good, so its not... More

I was in coorg and been on the hunt to have the original pandi curry I kept hearing about. Tried the pandi curry and the chicken curry they were amazing. If you have vegetarians in your group please avoid the place as there are only 3 dishes for vegetarians. But for any pork related dishes this is the place to... More

This was the recommended restaurant by a friend. It was easier to locate. We wanted a take away since we were headed to camp site. I would rate the food as average. Nothing to write about. Since the other place (read East end) stopped serving the local delicacy Pandi curry (pork curry) this place has some foot falls. By 8... More
