Lunch on Sunday

Good parking on arrival, walk-way to the restaurant delightful, staff extremely helpful & pleasant. The meal was (a) good value, (b) well presented, (c) tasted good. The only reason not to have a 5 was that the restaurant felt a bit chilly. We will certainly go back again.

This was our second visit in a matter of months the first one being extremely good. We weren't disappointed, the welcome and service was once again exceptional! They even charged up my iPhone for me! Great stuff! Food was good although the creamy garlic mushroom special could have been a bit bigger and the gravy on the sausage and mash... More

Went there for Saturday lunch during the Brecon Jazz festival, and had a lovely Saturday lunch with good Club Sandwich and snack. On the Sunday they only served roasts and could not serve snacks till 6pm although the restaurant wasn't full. Shame.

We enjoyed a very nice sunday lunch whilst in the area. We had not booked but were easily accommodated in the pleasant bar/lounge. The lamb was really good and the vegetables to accompany were more than acceptable - potatoes perhaps a little 'pre cooked' but a decent flavour - with an excellent cauliflower cheese standing out. The staff were very... More

Very friendly staff and a warm Welcome. Food well presented but still run of the mill pub food. Was a but disappointed as was hoping for something special. Used to visit this pub on a regular basis as the food was great but it has changed hands a few times and the food served is not up to the same... More

We nipped in to use the facilities before starting a walk in Cwm Oergm only intending to buy a half pint at most. We received a warm welcome, and were so impressed with the surroundings that we ended up having lunch. We had starters of soup and breaded brie which were very tasty and well presented. We followed up with... More

We ate dinner here a couple of times and were impressed on each occasion. The menu is interesting and varied. Everything we tried was good and it was also great value. The staff are friendly and charming. Highly recommended.

Staying close by and this being the only place within walking distance we ate here 4 nights in a row and were never disappointed. Menu has a good range and all items tried were very good.

4 of us went for a meal and all had very tasty food and quality too. Lamb pie of the day was first class as was the beer burger and fish of the day. Well recommended.
