Back on the up!

Been a long time since we last visited, given the numerous changes in ownerships and mixed reviews here. However, popped in for lunch yesterday and it was very nice indeed. Appears to be a normal pub set in amongst a residential area, however inside, great bar staff, polite and professional. Excellent service and fantastic food . Right down to good quality serviettes . I had a 'swan' burger in a tomato foccia type by a nd chips served on a board in a contemporary way. Nothing was too much trouble.

Want to finish a good day out? Try The White Swan at Llanfrynach! Beautiful public house within the Brecon Beacons national park. The food is excellent, service superb. Sunday lunch is brilliant. Wine list is pretty good. Always friendly staff. This place is a great end to a good day out, maybe walking, maybe on the local canal. If you... More

This is not the White Swan as we remembered and loved. The bar and restaurant lacked atmosphere. The welcome was cordial. The menu very disappointing. No starters, overpriced 'pub grub' mains and a 'choice' of 3 desserts. The food was ok - a mixed bag of reactions from around the table but generally, we were disappointed. This is not gastro... Good location close to many outdoor activities. Real ales a plus and the food was excellent - I had the pork belly which was slow cooked to perfection. Others in our party had steak and were well pleased too. Friendly and efficient staff. Definitely a place to visit again. Only downside was they had what sounded like an excellent band... More

Not the Titanic no, but our silver wedding anniversary having met on the premises (under previous management) for the first time on a blind date on the 16th December 1989... We weren't disappointed with the new owners Manny and Natalie making us feel really welcome with table 1 pre-heated for our arrival by a glowing log fire 😃 The food... More

Well what an extremely pleasant afternoon. I had pre-booked a table for 5 and had asked what was to be on the lunchtime menu and I was very surprised when the gent told me that they would happily accommodate anything as long as they had the ingredients, so I instantly asked if they could possibly do me a lasagne, (my... We discovered The White Swan when we stayed nearby in August 2014 and enjoyed an absolutely fantastic meal there. The staff were wonderfully attentive and the meal absolutely delicious. I had salmon and my husband had lamb - both beautifully prepared and presented - and we also enjoyed a great bottle of wine. We were able to walk back to... More
