Not the Titanic no, but our silver wedding anniversary having met on the premises (under previous management) for the first time on a blind date on the 16th December 1989... We weren't disappointed with the new owners Manny and Natalie making us feel really welcome with table 1 pre-heated for our arrival by a glowing log fire 😃 The food... More

Well what an extremely pleasant afternoon. I had pre-booked a table for 5 and had asked what was to be on the lunchtime menu and I was very surprised when the gent told me that they would happily accommodate anything as long as they had the ingredients, so I instantly asked if they could possibly do me a lasagne, (my... We discovered The White Swan when we stayed nearby in August 2014 and enjoyed an absolutely fantastic meal there. The staff were wonderfully attentive and the meal absolutely delicious. I had salmon and my husband had lamb - both beautifully prepared and presented - and we also enjoyed a great bottle of wine. We were able to walk back to... More

Booked a table for four having not been since the new ownership earlier in 2014. The previous TA reviews and talk around the place left me a little apprehensive that we would be left disappointed. I even considered cancelling the evening before and booking elsewhere, but didn't and decided to see for myself whether the standards were different at this... More

I visited The White Swan in November, after reading some reviews on here I was a little hesitant but my partner persuaded me otherwise. I had the trio of pork which was the best pork dish I have ever tasted! My partner opted for the lamb tasting (I think that's what it was called) she said she couldn't fault it!... More

This used to be our place for special occasions but since new management it's gone seriously downhill. Used to have to book months in advance. Went for Sunday lunch with group of 15 and 1 child. Starters were ok, good choice. Mains were awful! Tiny bits of lamb for £16!!!! The main meals were all Cold when served, when we... More

As stated by one of the other reviewers, this was once a force to be record with, but now its just not up to the mark, cold atmosphere food average and prices high. staff quite pleasant although when I complained about my pudding not being good and leaving it after one mouth full, no one asked or commented on it... After a long walk in the rain we fortunately stumbled upon the Swan Inn, they don't allow dogs in but as it had stopped raining they were more than happy for us to walk through & sit outside on their patio area, however, as the heavens opened they were quick to get us and our dogs in, we both love...
