Excellent spot near Playa Azul and the Flamboyán.

If you approach Brass Cactus, stay far away from el Flamboyan, a dump with very questionable security. No problem there is parking on the street around Brass Cactus. Excellent food and service with a varied menu featuring southwest and Puerto RIcan food.

I've had many meals at this establishment. They have a good happy hour with reasonably priced appetizers and drinks. The food is pretty good. If you are looking for Puerto Rican food this is not the place. They serve American fare. It's a regular hangout for the snowbirds. Not sure what it's like from May-December. The staff and service are great!!... More

We came here one night to get some appetizers and drinks. Fun atmosphere, good food, but did not have quite what I was looking for in the menu. The owner, I believe, is from Texas and the whole restaurant has a Texas/Puerto Rican vibe... I believe he described it as "Texi-Rican". Overall it was good, but I would have expected... More

The food was pretty yummy. We want due to reviews on Trip Advisors. Service was fairly slow but not unbearable. If your kids are picky the chicken fingers are hand battered so they look different...we had to peel it off for our kiddo to eat it. Everyone else thought they were good though.

I have been to the Brass Cactus many times in the past but now I think their menu is more interesting and their food more tasty than before. It has always been very popular with young people and families with children. It is very relaxed and people come there directly from the beach.

Was traveling back to San Juan from the golf course at El Conquistador resort and was recommended this place, a busy sports bar and restaurant. Met the owner, very attentive, and had a great meal. The Puerto Rican dish was fantastic (skirt steak wrapped around mashed plantains) and the margaritas were excellent. Go to relax and have a good meal,... More

We started out to eat at one of the many Kiosks on the highway. There was no possible way we would be able to park inside a mile so we came on into town. We stopped at the Brass Cactus and the delight began. We thought the nachos were a bit overpriced until we dug in an tasted the succulent... More

This place is great after a day at the beach. It's very pub-like with lots of dark wood and vintage decor, while sports show on tv monitors. The food is very good, nothing fancy, but comfort food, hearty and delicious. The only downside was that the service, while not bad or rude, it was...a little bit too relaxed. I will... More

We are staying near San Juan but decided to drive to Luquillo to eat here. Well worth the 30 minute drive! The sangria was yummy as were the ribs and fajitas!
