Nice food great atmosphere

Such lovely staff and good food. Located near the harbour. The food was very good and not to expensive. Gets very busy when the steam train gets in from Mallaig. The coffee was very nice and the service spot on. Well worth a visit.

We called in here following our steam train trip to Mallaig. There was a lovely welcome from the ladies. We both didn't feel like a large lunch so both ordered sandwiches. They were absolutely delicious. Fresh and very filling. A beautiful view from every window and exceptionally clean bathroom. If you are ever in this area, you won't be disappointed... More

While we only popped in for a scone and a coffee, the lady who served us was very efficient and curteous. Our piping hot coffee arrived in seconds with great homemade scones. We found the staff friendly and the cafe very busy. Happy to return.

First time visit to Mallaig and while waiting for the boat decided to have lunch at this cafe. What a disappointment. Smiles from staff were certainly not abundant and the " owner" was definitely quite miserable. We overheard him telling customers that they would have to share tables rather than wait. That in itself is not really an issue but... More

Just stopped by for a quick lunch and tea with a friends, expecting local friendly service and food. Oh how I was mistaken: we sat at a table when we were immediately told to move to seats right at the back away from the window, and this was the same for a few other people who came in later. The... I enjoyed my latte here. It was a typical coffee-house. I didn't have time to try the food menu. I will return when in the area.

Close to ferry terminal, but they do close at 1600hrs (in my when we visited). Good choice of food and help with information on local attractions and how to spend your time in Mallaig.

Just had my breakfast here. Latte was nice and poached eggs were cooked well. Not too expensive by Scottish standards at just under £6. The bonus and highlight for me was the the cook looked and sounded exactly like Liam Neeson. If fact maybe it was him undercover. :-D

Nice and clean, but a "beef sandwich" with only a few thin, dry, scrapings of beef for 8 pounds was very disappointing. Served by someone who couldn't even manage a slight smile or hello: we regretted our choice here!
