Visited on Sat 21st June. Service was terrible. We were completely ignored. I eventually visited the counter to be 'waived away' and told to sit down and wait my turn. I explained we had a train to catch in 45 mins and was completely dismissed. The man attending tables was extremely rude. Even the other customers said so. My disabled... More

on our recent visit to Mallaig my husband and i popped in to the An Cala for afternoon tea and scones. The scones were mouth watering and were reasonable priced. Our waitress was very polite and charming. Loved the table cloths!!!!! Would easily recommend.

Agree with many… top place for a snack and good coffee. My local when I am home and always friendly. I travel a lot and look forward to returning.

After horrible, over-priced food in two other cafes in Mallaig we found the An Cala. The food was great - hot, well cooked, well presented and reasonably priced. All the staff were helpful and informative. It was also really useful to have the free wifi.

Popped in for a bowl of piping hot soup, and was persuaded to a scone with clotted cream to go with my pot of tea. Friendly staff, speedy service, and tasty food. Just what we needed!

Weak soup, cheap bread, cold staff. Every other meal I've experienced in 2 trips to Scotland has been wonderful. Good location near the ferry to Isle of Skye, but I will avoid on future trips.

Lovely toasted sandwich and bowl of soup at An Cala. Wifi is brilliant and a real bonus. Go there, good value for money, near the station on way to ferry. Peter the owner very friendly and informative.

This little café is located about 200 metres from the MALLAIG Car Ferry Terminal which is the major embarkation port on the mainland for travel by CALMAC ferry to Armadale on the Isle of Skye. Food was fresh, hot and reasonably priced. Specialties included Hot Roast Rolls, Soup, Sandwiches and "Toasties". Service was quick -- and there was excellent free... More

I went to an cala today and was greeted by lovely staff. Silting and happy. Me and my wife had scones and jam. And a cappuccino. The drinks were amazing and could not fault the price either. A great experience and great atmosphere. Would defiantly tell my friends and family to go

Delicious home baking and a good cuppa, just what was needed after a day on the hills. Prompt friendly service, so no worries about catching the train.
