Sad to hear the previous guys have moved on. Stopped for lunch with friends. Charming waitress (sorry forgot name) really engaged with us and other customers. The Cullen Skink was as good as it always was! Dessert was yummy, a twist on Cranachan.

I'm really glad we booked a day in advance Even for a stormy Tuesday evening in October it was still busy and extremely popular. We had a fabulous seafood platter which took us an hour to eat as there was so much food! They'd run out of prosecco so the waitress went out into some foul weather and brought some... More

Off the train, no booking, time running out and we found the Chlachain! No problem with table. A noisy, fun, family (but not over whelming) atmosphere. Fish and chips of course with locally caught fish, and mussels landed just down the coast. Both tasty. Timed perfectly for the train. Despite the rush period over lunch the staff were friendly and... We arrived without a booking and had a fantastic lunch. Not necessarily cheap, but great value for money. We had the fish platter, it was great and the macaroni and fish and chips were great for the kids as well. Coupled with a local ale this was a very enjoyable meal as part of a great day out.

Had a lovely lunch here on Wednesday. Catherine looked after us, and made sure we had everything we needed. Lovely mushroom soup to start, along with the goat cheese crostini. Amazing seafood platter, a bit like a ploughmans lunch and a nice chilled Sauv Blanc.

Three friends and I went to the Chlachain Inn for lunch on Wednesday 30th September 2015. Our visit to the Chlachain almost spoiled a fantastic day out on the train between Glasgow and Mallaig. We chose and booked a table at the Chlachain because it was listed as the second best of 12 places to eat in Mallaig. As we... More
