I had a venison burger with bacon and haggis. It was much better than I expected and probably the best burger I've had this year. My wife had the chowder and it was excellent. The pub was busy with tourists from all over and the staff were efficient and friendly.

This was a wee gem for us on a very sad occasion. Warmly welcomed by the staff, nothing was too much trouble. The kids meal wasn't fantastic but the rest of the food was delicious, hot and served promptly. Would definitely recommend, would love to go back sometime.

We never stayed here so ignore rooms rating but ate hear twice recently. The menu was excellent and the seafood especially good. The specials board was also worth a look. In two visits we sampled Lobster Bisque, Fish Chowder, Prawn Cocktail, Baked Cheese, Venison Burger, Monkfish Curry, Monkfish Scampi, fish and chips and seafood linguini. All excellent. Deserts and starters... More

we happened on this lovely little pub thanks to tripadvisor...it looks a little inauspicious from outside up a little road near the harbour...but don't be fooled..inside it's an oasis with good beer and nice food.

This is the perfect example of an overrated Tripadvisor restaurant as our lunch was the worst meal we've had in Scotland. The pizza that was served was certainly not home made, it had holes on the bottom and tasted like cardboard, and the chorizo topping was the worst ever tasted. The chili chicken wrap wasn't much better. Like the pizza,... More

Came off the steam train on 28th ordered 4 main meals. Pizza, steak, monkfish and Mac cheese. The Mac cheese was luke warm with very hot chips but the other 3 meals were fantastic. 3 happy people. I had the monkfish special which had a little too much risotto for me but was delicious. Fab wee place, nice beer garden... More

Came off the steam train from fort william. Went into the steam inn 4 of us. Ordered three cheese boards for £8.50 each and a jacket potato with cheese. Jacket potatoe came up with a bit of old processed melted cheese on top very poor. When our cheese boards arrived we thought it was a joke. Three of the smallest... More

We did the Jacobite steam train and had a few hours to kill. We had dog with us and so decided to have lunch in this pub as they are dog friendly. They have extensive fish menu, prices are reasonable for fresh fish. They brought us water bowl for dog and made us all feel welcome. Kids menu is available... More
