Visited the Steam Inn during a short stay in Mallag to catch the Jacobite back to Fort William. We both had the seafood tagliatelle which was utterly amazing, truly the best meal on our 4 day trip, other patrons even came over to ask what we were having, it looked so good! Staff all extremely helpful and pleasant. If you're... More

Wandered across the road from our B&B for a late dinner. Everything was good. Missus liked the mushroom risotto and my chicken with mozzarella and BBQ sauce was excellent. Must have had half a ton of cheese on the top! Service was polite and we would rate this restaurant as worth visiting.

Seafood so fresh it seems it just jumped on to your plate! Scallops, black pudding combination... who knew? Mussels: steamed to perfection. Sauce to die for. Also local craft beers. I tried The Young Pretender, named for Bonny Prince Charlie. Brewed on the nearby Isle of Skye. Smooth bitter.

The white wine bottle brought to us was not refrigerated. The waitress kindly took it back and brought an other wine to us, which was more expensive but she made us pay the price of the first one. The food was excellent : fresh seafood, very well cooked and large portions. Close to being the best dishes I've had in... More

The food was outstanding! We had the mussels and fish and chips as well as the scallop appetizer. The fish was all local and very fresh. We came in about 15 minutes before the kitchen closed, offered to leave, but were encouraged to sit down. Our table was not re-set with linens as all the other tables were. The server... More

Good menu with lots of choice. Food was great. We had Paella, and the Monkfish thai curry. Service was excellent. Mint aero cheesecake . . . that was a first, and delicious.

My wife and I were staying in our caravan in Arisaig and used to pop in for a drink and use the WiFi. On the Saturday of our stay we called in at about 12:00 and asked for two coffees and two bacon sandwiches. I asked the Barmaid if we could have some bacon sandwiches and from her reaction it... My wife and I decided to go on a train trip from our destination at loch rannoch to malliag to let our three kids see the west highland route , on our departure from malliag train station we visited many shops before entering the steam inn for some refreshments, the lady serving behind the bar was excellent and the pints... we tried it because of the tripadvisor advice on the window... the steak pie was quite good and the soup of the daytoo, while the noodles with fish were not a good match
