There's not much to say except the food and service were excellent! Fresh, fresh seafood, great simple menu. So delicious. Simple dining room might make you second guess, but it's a real find. One of our best meals in the Highlands.

Got off the Jacobite Steam Train and headed straight to this fantastic restaurant. We were given a table overlooking the bustling harbour. A terrific menu with top notch seafood. The Lobster and Apple salad, Langoustines and Dover Sole were beautifully cooked and the presentation superb . A good wine list and friendly, efficient service . Loved it!

Friendly staff, quick service, lovely food. What more could you ask for. Will definitely visit again, when in the area.

If you go late in the afternoon, the prices are lower for the delicious food served here. The seafood is delicious and an adult can have half orders of some of the dishes.

Mallaig was buzzing, we listened to the musician in the street then dodged the crowds by entering the Cornerstone for take away fish and chips. Amazingly there was a table free and we were welcomed as though special guests. Sitting looking out over the bay we were brought the freshest scampi I have ever tasted. Our order for a pint... More

Great service, harbour view from some tables. Good choice of food from squid, crab, variety of fish. Straightforward, clean and simple environment. Budget over £100 for table of four.

Had lunch in the Cornerstone recently. The Mallaig Prawn Cocktail was the best and well worth £9.95. I had haddock and chips and my wife had Dover Sole. All beautifully cooked and presented. This is the best fish restaurant in Mallaig and I've been to a few.

We visited Mallaig late afternoon, early evening in time for our dinner. There are many cafes and restaurants competing for business in Mallaig all of which serve fish and chips and all at the same price. Several such establishments looked busy and crushed as we walked around reading all the menus. We chose the Cornerstone because it offered a variety... More

The meals were spectacular, the pork entrée just melted in your mouth, and the steak mains was perfect. Even my fussy 11 year old ate everything. The service was fantastic and, as we were visiting with Scottish friends, they made sure a Scottish and Australian flag was put on the table. The wait staff were very friendly and extremely professional.... More
