Lovely Meal

Visited the Cornerstone Restaurant on Monday 24th August. I didnt have a starter but my husband had the mussels and my friend Cullen Skink both said they were delicious. I had the breaded fish with chips as a main and I have to say it was delicious. Cannot fault this restaurant in anyway.

We were lucky enough to get the last available table on the Monday evening we visited. The service was excellent, there was a good choice of fish served different ways and it all looked as good as my salmon tasted. There was a variety of local beers and a good selection of wine. The desert was absolutely wonderful.

Nice size upstairs room overlooking the harbour. Not taken with the tartan carpet. I had a very good meal consisting of Cullen Skink starter, traditional fish and chips main and a delicious pudding to finish. One of the staff who served us was very friendly. The other was somewhat reserved and had to be reminded that we had asked for... More

Made a reservation here for lunch after arriving in Mallaig from the Jacobite train. Train arrived at 12.25pm booking was for 12.30. Table was ready on arrival and order taken promptly as train left again for return to Fort William at 2.10pm. Shortly after we arrived a bus load of oriental tourists arrived but this didn' hamper the service. Had... More

Excellent seafood specials on the day! Best restaurant with view of the harbour and people watching corner. Friendly service. We had monkfish Thai curry. Langoustines. Cod and lemon sole goujons. All delicious. Maybe a little bit more expensive than the other restaurants but worth it.

After getting off Jacobite Steam train, we went to this gem, one of a few recommended by the train info. Hubby had amazing not fishy halibut and son had big portion fish and chip. I had the best mussels. Seeing the sea and right next to the shore keeps the freshness of the food. Simple yet with great preparation and... More

We had taken a trip to Mallaig on the Jacobite Express and went to the Cornerstone for an early dinner having read good reviews about it. We asked for a table for 2 and were given a seat in the window with a lovely view of the harbour, however after a couple of minutes the waitress came over and asked... More
