Enjoyed Lunch here after a stunning ride on the Jacobite Train from Fort William. The restaurant is located a short walk from the Railway Station and has views over the Harbour. It is located upstairs and it was a very warm day so all the windows facing the Harbour being open added to the meal. We had Scallops and Langoustines... More

Arrived in Mallaig not knowing what was good to eat at. A gentle stroll from the station and we found The Cornerstone Restaurant. We could not have found a better place. My wife had the moules provencal, I had the cheese souffle. Fantastic! Main courses were seafood curry and slow roast belly pork. Presented to perfection. Pudding was only managed... More

Chose this without any recommendation just because it was handy as we got off the train and what a find! The outside does not indicate what a gem this place is. We were fortunate to be shown to a table overlooking the harbour. Great service. Amazing (fresh cooked) food. One of the best meals I've ever had - will certainly... More

We agreed that this was the best meal we'd ever had!! Great selection of craft beers, my boyfriend had the Black isle beer from orkney and it was delicious. We had the scallops to start, which were melt in the mouth heaven and the langoustines as a main course - HUGE amount and absolutely divine, I had the boiled potatoes... More

We were recommended to visit by our B&B host and were not disappointed. Warm friendly welcome by efficient staff. We chose fish as we were in Mallaig, tempura monkfish and then baked cod, both delicious, with some tasty home made bread as a bonus. Very busy, would advise booking to make sure of a table.

There's not much to say except the food and service were excellent! Fresh, fresh seafood, great simple menu. So delicious. Simple dining room might make you second guess, but it's a real find. One of our best meals in the Highlands.

Got off the Jacobite Steam Train and headed straight to this fantastic restaurant. We were given a table overlooking the bustling harbour. A terrific menu with top notch seafood. The Lobster and Apple salad, Langoustines and Dover Sole were beautifully cooked and the presentation superb . A good wine list and friendly, efficient service . Loved it!

If you go late in the afternoon, the prices are lower for the delicious food served here. The seafood is delicious and an adult can have half orders of some of the dishes.

Mallaig was buzzing, we listened to the musician in the street then dodged the crowds by entering the Cornerstone for take away fish and chips. Amazingly there was a table free and we were welcomed as though special guests. Sitting looking out over the bay we were brought the freshest scampi I have ever tasted. Our order for a pint... More
