It may look plain outside and quirky inside but the food is in no way quirky it was the best haddock and chips my husband had in Scotland. I had cullen skink and I did wonder at one time whether I was going to be able to eat it all. There was (for us) fabulous 60s music going on and... More

Brought an overseas group here for dinner tonight (7/714). The food and service was excellent. Oor Willie and broons books a great touch. Recommended.

Extensive menu. The 3 of us ordered different starters and different main meals and all were presented well and truly delicious. We would be pleased to recommend this bistro to family, friends and anyone else.

The food was hearty and the portions were a good size (we went with Fish and Chips). The fish was cooked excellently and the skins left on the chips was a good touch. It was served in a really interesting way too. The price was quite reasonable. I would eat here again and next time adventure to their more expensive... More

Small bistro on Lochcarron's long Main Street. We were looking for a meal fairly early on this occasion and went for the early evening special (4pm to 6pm) which has a low-cost, simple menu. However, low-cost still means high quality as the food was well-cooked, tasty, good quality and excellent value. The service was very friendly and I would have... More

This is a lovely little bistro set on the loch side in the quiet little town of Lochcarron. The menu draws on local seafood and meat. While there isn't a wide choice, much of it sounds tempting. My wife & I shared a portion of tasty whitebait to start and then both opted for the delicious Aberdeenshire smoked haddock with... More

Good food (don't miss the haddock: it's the best I have ever had in my life!)! and cozy place. It looks like France but it's Scotland and outside the windows you can see Loch Carron, which is very nice and romantic. Go as soon as you can to get all the dishes from the menu (they might be not available... More

Found this excellent Bistro just a short walk from our holiday cottage. Food was superb and service the best we've had in a long time. There was something for every taste on the menu from seafood to duck and steaks. If your in the area at any time it's well worth a visit

We live in Kingston upon Thames and Marlborough and, yes, we were staying in Lochcarron. But it would have been worth travelling a long way to eat here. As you might expect, they source great local produce, but everything is cooked and served with a fine combination of style and warm hospitality. You might not expect to find a place... More
