Treat yourself to the best!

A small local restaurant run by its chef, this restaurant simply gets it right with the food, the service and the atmosphere. Your host knows what he's doing, he works hard at it and there is no question about the result!. So for a top dinner in Lochcarron, this is the place to go. Like all the... read more

On my final evening in Lochcarron, the Bistro was open and I asked for a table - not having booked. I was quickly accommodated and enjoyed a superb meal. Wonderfully fresh fish, a nice local beer and attentive service. Interesting mix of ingredients for the fish cake starter and a superb battered haddock main. Very good value. The boards had... More

Well we saw the trip advisor reviews and...well....awesome. One of our best meals ever. Lovely wine..green lip sauvignon blanc and the smoked haddock was unbeatable. Yes the menu is written on the walls but this is a genuine family feel humble establishment and looks nothing from the outside. The proof of the pudding is however in the eating...and how! Lovely... Having seen the Bistro recommended on Trip Advisor I made sure we booked a table for the 4 of us. This is a small venue with limited tables so book ahead you won't be disappointed. A huge blackboard proudly displays the days choices of which there are many. The kitchen is open for viewing if you want to see your... More

Brilliant meal. Six people eating tonight and everyone agreed the food was excellent. Freshly cooked, innovative menu and served with a smile.

We were staying in Lochcarron for the week. We dined early for a birthday meal at the Bistro. No complaints, lovely, the menu was interesting...different.....thoroughly enjoyed by both of us....and the wine...at a good price. The Bistro was open on Fri/Sat/Sunday during our stay........we dined on the Friday of our weeks visit, if we had been staying longer in this... More

The restaurant was fairly busy when we arrived at 8pm on a Friday night and it made for a great atmosphere. The food was excellent and the finishing touches and flourishes just made it more special ie. greaseproof newspaper under my battered haddock and chips. The girls who looked after us were very attentive and altogether it made our last... More

Only very small and booking is a must. There is a limited specials menu but it is interesting and varied enough not to matter. Food freshly cooked to order in the open kitchen. Very tasty and good value for money. Even the bottles of wine aren't expensive. Good atmosphere, the sort of place where you can dress up or down... More

in the 'winter' season, this Bistro is only open from Thursday till Sunday which is a shame. There is no fixed menu and everything you can order is written on the walls. All is fresh and well cooked and also quick to come through. Slightly more expensive then other restaurants but given the portions and good taste, it is worth... More
