Lovely welcoming tea room, great food, especially the soup and scones. Service was very efficient despite it being quite busy. It was so goo we went out of our way to go back during our week long holiday in Orkney.

Although under relatively new ownership, this is one of the few genuinely memorable tearooms my wife, our friends and I have visited. Friendly, efficient service; first-rate food and drink; lovely views from a light and airy interior; and, reasonably priced. What more could anyone want from a wee rural tearoom? Oh, homegrown tomatoes? Well, even in late September, they had... More

Enjoy good food while looking out across Birsay and trying to spot the wildlife. Also had the tide times for the Brough which was handy.

An excellent welcoming tea room. The soup and cheese scone was just what was needed on a stormy afternoon. With fantastic views over the bay we just had to stay for tea and cakes.

Espresso coffee was cheaper than regular so it was a great deal but the homemade cakes were beyond reason for being so perfectly scrumptious. Definately worth stopping at if you can find it hidden away without sign-posts!

A bit off the Beaton track but well worth a visit, try and get one of the tables next to the windows looking out to the southern tip of Greenland, try the soup, wash it down with a big ice cream milkshake, try the beetroot cup cake surprise, try the Victoria sponge, try the Orkney Ice Cream...then try walking it... Delicious fruit scones and coffee with friendly service. We just followed the cars to the cafe not sure of what to expect but we were not disappointed...great place for afternoon tea. Very busy.

Thank you for a lovely afternoon tea of freshly made scones with jam and coffee. We had been exploring the north of the island and finding the tearoom was a real bonus to our trip. The tomatoes we bought were very tasty. The service was friendly and prompt.

A lovely tea rooms with home made food and perhaps the best view if any tea room you have ever been to! It's just up the hill out of the village with an amazing view of the Brough of Birsay.
