Ordered 2 roast dinners - Beef and Pork and sausage and mash. The 2 roast dinners arrived after a long wait approx. 30 mins although didn't seem very busy. We then waited a further 5 mins for the sausage and mash and 1 dish of vegetables - no communication during this time. A second dish of vegetables arrived later still,... More

We had a day in Holmfirth the stayed the night at The Huntsman. We took our German Shepherd with us so stayed on the ground floor dog friendly rooms these were very well thought out. There is a door located next to the rooms so when he decided he wanted out at 4am we didn't have to rumble round the... More

Just down the road from "Last of the summer wine" country, this is a lovely inn at a great location with views over picturesque countryside. We had a bar meal and can thoroughly recommend the roast pork with black pudding mash, cabbage &bacon- absolutely delicious and cooked just right. Other diners also seemed well satisfied with their meals. Nice range... More

Called in early lunchtime and chose a smaller meal from the menu. Gammon, egg, chips and peas, all very nice and enough for a lunch, £5.95. Nicely cooked and quickly delivered. No complaints, would happily go again. Nice surroundings. Great views.

First visit and last. Arrived late afternoon, place not obviously busy. Found our own table, had to go to the bar for both drinks and to place our order. A bit taken back by the prices, cheese and onion pie priced the same as steak dish. When placing order was told there was a 45 minute wait. About 20 minutes... More

My partner and I dined during late afternoon and early evening so the restaurant only had under 20 people in. First impression, the restaurant decor and design is dated;- very 1980s look with a pub design carpet in red/gold/brown. In fact the decor is very 1980s brown. With regards to the food, it's very ordinary pub food. Think of Beefeater... More

Great little hotel, very comfortable and well prepared rooms. Stunning views over the local moors and ample car parking. Beer and food were decent although not overly exciting. Breakfast offered a good selection and we were well satisfied. All in all a good value hotel close to where we wanted to be.

Arrived on a rainy Saurday lunchtime and only two other tables were taken. We ordered a few snacks and asked for them all to be brought at the same time. 25 minutes later (even though the place was so quiet!) the staff member approached our table with one plate, looked at us and realised we wanted all the food. He... More
