Tapas at the Toad and Tatie; Tremendous!

A Birthday celebration was made very enjoyable in this excellent little restaurant on the edge of Holmfirth. Superb range of tapas and obviously all freshly made with a good range of specials to choose from. The highlights for me were the Belly Pork and Chorizo, the Sea Bass, Calimari and the... read more

Sat out in the sun and enjoyed some tapas here. The food was very tasty and the surroundings lovely.

My friend I went for a meal, I had sea bass, one piece of fish with no accompaniments, so had chips, friend had a salad again with chips, I had pint of water with cordial, friend had glass of wine and one pint of lager. Both had eaton mess and one scoop of ice cream, and coffee, £53 .70 thought... More

We went of a busy Saturday evening, and the staff were out of their depth. We had to remind people a number of times about drinks and certain tapas dishes didn't arrive, and this was true of a number of tables round us. I felt sorry for the staff as they spent the whole evening apologising. The food was good,... More

Disappointing and overpriced warmed up tapas. You could hear the faint noise of the dreaded microwave in the back ground. You can tell the chef used to be at the one in town that was equally as poor. Owners definitely getting the last laugh here!

This is a local eating place for me as I live local. The couple used to own Le Premier Etage in Holmfirth before they moved here. I went for a meal with a group of friends the other week and had a great evening, The food is really excellent as is the service, lovely night out.

I booked a table here based on previous reviews on Trip Advisor, for a party of 7. The food and atmosphere was excellent, nothing was too much trouble for Lorraine and her team. This would definitely be my first port of call next time I'm in Holmfirth.

Why don't I go here more often? I can walk to this restaurant and should do so every week! Absolutely everything about our experience was perfect. We got a lovely, friendly welcome. We were served by attentive, caring staff. The food was absolutely superb! Freshly cooked fish and meat accompanied by delicious, fresh vegetables. The place was buzzing on the... More
