Four truly satisfied bellys!!

Not being from this area, we were recommended to eat here by a family member. We had no idea what to expect and were absolutely starving following a duathlon event in the morning! Walking in we were greeted to a busy pub and told to get a table wherever there was one available. It's a self... read more

Dinner with hubby this evening. Staff friendly, restaurant could have been a little warmer as quite chilly. I ordered the veggie lasagne which was delicious, wonderful selection of fresh veg in the dish which was really tasty and I would definitely order again. Home made chips and fresh side salad complimented the dish perfectly. Hubby ordered gammon with fried egg,... More

Great location, lovely layout, log fires, real ales, friendly staff. Fabulous home cooked food in a friendly pub cum restaurant. Great value for money, good portions excellent quality. I liked it so much , went back again the next day and have booked the restaurant for Mother's day. Well worth a visit.

Just popped in, on the off-chance, one weekday evening - we have been here during a summer's weekend early evening and the place was absolutely jammed on that occasion. This visit however, was a lot calmer and quieter and much the better for that! We had just missed the three course early bird meal for £13.95 and it did look... More

A Tuesday night at ice station zebra aka Upper Cumberworth. Prodigal son turns up with his mate. Let's go to? Debate about the merits of the local hostelries. Let's go up to the Foxhouse - not been for a while. Off we trot. On arrival the car park is virtually empty as an icy blast greets you - don't customers... More

Called for a meal early on a Friday evening. Cracking pint of real ale from the Two Roses Brewery. Having being over faced having a starter last time we just ordered a main course. The farmhouse grill was tremendous and my wife had rib eye which was wonderfully succulent and tasty.

I came here with family for Sunday lunch a couple of weeks ago and we all enjoyed some deliious home-cooked food. I opted for the brocolli and stilton pie with homemade chips and a side of beer-battered onion rings, all of which tasted superb. The desserts in the display looked amazing but we were just too full from the generous... More
