Poor quality and overpriced. Fish was served upside down and chips were nothing to write home about. Dining room was cold and lacked atmosphere. Seemed impersonal.

We stopped here for lunch while out for the day. We made our way to the bar where we ordered drinks, the attitude of the person behind the bar was at best faux friendly, all she wanted to do was see what we wanted to drink and whether we wished to eat which we did. There was no one else... More

Not sure really. We went early on in its current ownership and it was great though quite expensive. Second time round the staff were very aloof in a 'we are very busy at the moment' way which was quite irritating and they obviously had not cooked enough food so the portions were extremely 'thin'. Our boeuf borgignon had SO liitle... More

The food was fine but if you sit outside be aware that you are sitting by a pretty busy road. I did not regret going but probably wont go back. Trip advisor you should be aware that the link on this TA site takes you to mulberry handbags

My husband and I wanted to go for a meal to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We wanted to go somewhere different to our usual haunts and as we pass the Mulberry on many of our motorbike rides, thought we'd give it a try. I looked at the website, liked what I saw and called to reserve a table. I cannot... More

We went out to celebrate my retirement and were disappointed in every respect. The waiters were aloof. The salmon starters were overcooked and we could have bounced the squid across the restaurant. One waiter then took our plates away while my son was still chewing his way through his squid. Although the lamb and chicken were tender and presented well,... More

We had a lovely late lunch here last Tuesday. Having eventually found it - the website states it is on the edge of the village of Chiddingfold when in fact it is about 2 miles out of the village nearer to Ramsnest Common - we had no problem in obtaining a table. It was about 2:30, and there were a... More

We loved this restaurant it's our first time eating here everything we have was just fantastic. I was driving which isn't the best way to spend a Sunday lunch without having a glass or two of wine but it was so good I will drive there and not even miss the wine. The other members of our group said the... More

We had a lovely drive to the Mulberry and were greeted and seeted at a lovely table in a nicely appointed restaurant. The menu is really nice and I wanted to try everything! Four of us shared two starters which were huge. We had duck pâté and the squid. Both were delicious. For the main I had the butternut squash... More

This pub / restaurant was half way between us and friends so we arranged to meet for a walk and then have a late sunday lunch. After a pleasant walk round Petworth Park we were hungry. The roast beef (£15.50) was perfectly cooked, nicely pink, and very tender. The lamb was apparently good also. Plenty of well cooked vegetables etc... More
