Decent enough Indian food and real ale, what's not to like? As good a food as the best of the other Indian restaurants in Farncombe/Godalming and better than most of them. At least for the Biryani I chose the portion sizes were very generous, the flavour good and the service quick and efficient. A small selection of real ales which... More

Had a really good time in here after an exciting day watching my nephew playing cricket against the eponymous school. My interest in Indian food ranges between not only full on authentic traditional and modern innovative curries but also British style routine favourites provided that they are well done and presented. They do the latter well here and it was... More

So I regularly go to charter house for the food with friends. The food is great value for money and is always consistently good. They give a good range of different dishes. The nans and rices are lovely with a range of different flavours The only thing they don't do is desserts....& lets face it. Indians are not known for... More

This pub makes the best curry in town! I always enjoy coming here with family and friends as the staff is always nice. Not when the football is on,too much noise :) Great stuff!

Visited the Charterhouse on Sunday with friends for a meal. The menu looked good and had all the normal main dishes. I wasn't disappointed with the food and it was good value but definitely not up to restaurant standard. The dishes were nice just not impressive and the naan looked and tasted a bit manufactured. If you are just looking... More

Fiendly atmosphere, mix of diner from very casual to business person, food was lovely - warm and lots of it. Friend paid so can't comment on cost but they eat regularly there

A nice honest pub with a good selection of beers. Nice atmosphere with a very definite local pub feel but an inclusive one not exclusive. Nicely put together, basic but comfortable furniture and a cosy feel to it. Excellent food, good menu, good value. Quick service and quite willing to go 'off piste' on request. Impressed with all aspects of... More

It's much better than any of the traditional takeaways in the area, and its a pub! Great curry. End of story really.

We like real ale, but of the 3 handouts not one was on. Staff said only landlord could change a barrel - and he was out all evening. Curry very variable: a sag paneer made of mostly grated cheddar and tasting of 'cheese of toast' was unacceptable even for pub food
