French restaurant that is a little out of place

The restaurant is up some stairs and you feel you are going to a private room in a hotel. It does not feel like a restaurant. The food however, is very good and the wine is above average.

A refreshingly simple approach to excellent food. The chefs are obviously passionate about the food and it comes through in the flavours. Great to come to an independent restaurant that does a small menu brilliantly. The service was very friendly and welcoming, if a little slow. This suited us fine, but I can understand that not everyone wants to wait... More

I took my wife out here for her birthday - expecting a fine dining French restaurant. While the service was good (perhaps a little aggressive with the wine selling) and the food fairly good it certainly didn't feel very fine dining or very French - almost gastro pub like - perhaps that just goes to show how good pubs are... Do yourself a favour, never visit this restaurant! Whoever the owners are do not care about service, customers or their experience. Not to mention the food was bland, expensive. A Tesco microwave meal would have been better than the lamb belly and a hell of a lot cheaper. Never will I eat here again and I hope you don't ever... More

Our first visit to Fleurie yesterday, but it won't be our last! Great service despite being busy and the food was wonderful - beautifully presented as well. We were a mix of carnivores and vegetarians and all delighted with the food. The hot goats cheese with beetroot was excellent as was the vegetable tart - this latter unique in being... More

This restaurant can't be seen from the street - its up a side road and on the second floor. Excellent food and excellent choice of wine including a good selection of local wines. Very much a couples restaurant for nights out rather than a

We dined here very recently after reading good reviews, and we were welcomed in, our first impressions were very good nice decor and interior, but after we were shown to table it was an extremely long wait as only two members of staff serving we felt some what forgotten it seemed like waiting all the time for drinks first then,... When we booked for dinner here, it was a bit of an unknown entity, chosen out of intrigue! When you go in to the building you don't quite expect to find the tardis-like, airy dining area that you reach upstairs. The room itself was lovely and there was a nice, relaxing atmosphere. The menu on offer the evening we visited... More

The atmosphere was lovely, and very friendly. I had the scallops to start - which were delicious. Perhaps the best I have ever had! My main course was the venison with chocolate red wine jus. The venison was cooked perfecly. However, the jus was like chocolate spread - thick & very, very sweet. I was so hungry after the 50... More

Impromptu first visit to Fleuries. We had an amazing relaxed evening. The ambience was just right music softly playing in the background very pleasant surroundings tables not to close tigerher. Then we come to the amazing food, presentation was top notch. I had Scallops (coqueille St Jacques style). guinea fowl and unusually for me a dessert as I was intrigued... More
