We had lunch here on a week day and the service was efficient, the food arrived very quickly and was well priced and tasty. We sat in the garden which was very pleasant.

Before I start I have to say that the barmaid could not, have been more helpful or more embarrassed at how we were treated. My friend (a resident of the village ) and I met for lunch at The Burcott Inn. We decided we would like a prawn cocktail but as a main course. We were informed that this would be... More

Had Sunday lunch with mother in law and husband as we could not get in elsewhere. I was not looking forward to it but in the end it was OK. We ordered the beef sunday roast. It was served within a few minutes of us ordering - before our wine was even brought to the table. Everything actually tasted much... More

This Inn looks like a typical, quaint Somerset pub and, indeed it is but the quality of food and the menu selection is fantastic. The steak and kidney pie is highly recommended. Service, quality and cost very good. Congenial host and a quiet, unassuming and relaxed atmosphere. TIP : No dogs in the pub and no dogs in the pub... More

This is an old fashioned village pub with small restaurant and some good local beers. The welcome was warm and friendly and the menu was varied. The food was delicious, including the steak and ale pie and the portions were ample. Nice atmosphere, good food, good beer, what more could you want.

Another visit to the Burcott for an evening meal, and another great pub meal. Nothing pretentious or overpriced, just what it says on the tin..

My husband and I have just returned home from 5 days in one of the burcott inn's holiday cottages. The cottage was great for a couple and offered everything you needed. A shame the pub was only open on our final night but fair enough when you consider their location and the time of year. We ate on our final... More
