We are a traditional Country Inn located 3/4 of a mile from Ingleton and just 6 miles away from Kirkby Lonsdale. We have 10 guest bedrooms, two of which have four poster beds, one twin bedroom and one family bedroom, the rest are double bedrooms. We are ideally located for the those doing the Yorkshire Three Peaks or visiting the White Scar Caves and Ingleton Waterfalls. All of our food is prepared freshly on site to order and we use locally sourced suppliers. For those Ale drinkers we have 8 Cask Ale hand pulls, which during the busy season we try and have all 8 on. During the quieter months this is not always possible. For those winter months we have two roaring log burning stoves in the bar and for the Summer months we have two lovely beer gardens, one out the front of the hotel looking over St Oswalds Church and one out the back looking over open fields. Visited here on 2 occasions with family whilst on holiday. The Saturday night the food was excellent but on our 2nd occasion on the Tuesday I think it was a different chef as the food was not so good and they had run out of several items. The first meals were very tasty, well cooked and large portions. Very good

Visited the Marton Arms for an evening meal with the family. We had a warm welcome and the table was ready as booked. There was a fine selection of beers to choose from. The menu is varied with something for everyone. We all enjoyed our meal and would have no hesitation in recommending this establishment.

It has been a few years since we last came here. It seems time has not been kind to the Marton Arms. Signs of decaying paintwork and peeling plaster do not inspire a casual visitor. Even the wallpaper stuck on with a drawing pin does do much for the image. Our meals were very poor and we had to wait... More

Visited the Marton Arms for an evening meal on two occasions whilst on holiday in the area. There was a very pleasant ambience on both occasions with a friendly mix of locals and tourists. Staff were courteous, ale excellent and food good and plentiful. Just what a village pub should be.

Revisited. As usual lovely homely food. Cooked to perfection, more than ample servings. The manager is always friendly and courteous. Definitely worth a try.

So, in 2014, The Marton Arms was amazing. So in 2015, we came again. What a difference a year makes. I ordered a Chicken Caeser Salad. This is a fairly basic standard dish. It had no sauce, no anchovies and no parmesan cheese. So I pointed this out. The answer? The 'chef' had added these ingredients to a blender and... More

Super evening meal, even though we arrived towards the end of service and without a booking. The chef came out to check we'd enjoyed our curry. Great ambience, love the interior and the furniture, and the team were all friendly.
