We are a traditional Country Inn located 3/4 of a mile from Ingleton and just 6 miles away from Kirkby Lonsdale. We have 10 guest bedrooms, two of which have four poster beds, one twin bedroom and one family bedroom, the rest are double bedrooms. We are ideally located for the those doing the Yorkshire Three Peaks or visiting the White Scar Caves and Ingleton Waterfalls. All of our food is prepared freshly on site to order and we use locally sourced suppliers. For those Ale drinkers we have 8 Cask Ale hand pulls, which during the busy season we try and have all 8 on. During the quieter months this is not always possible. For those winter months we have two roaring log burning stoves in the bar and for the Summer months we have two lovely beer gardens, one out the front of the hotel looking over St Oswalds Church and one out the back looking over open fields. For the best available rates please look at the hotel website.

Good british pub food

A good place for a night away from the cooker! 3 visits whilst staying at nearby caravan site. Food was good and all freshly cooked, possible reason for delays mentioned elsewhere. No airs and graces just comfortable atmosphere. Possibly give a miss for a celebration, but, good for a meal out.

A perfect pub meal. Good food and good beer. Been in here a few times now and always a friendly atmosphere. Excellent staff who are always attentive. An interesting historic building in itself which lends itself to the good atmosphere. Also a beautiful location in itself and well worth the short walk out of Ingleton.

I stopped here for Sunday lunch with some friends. The drinks were good - excellent choice of wines by the glass and well kept beers. But the food was disappointing. The fish roulade was not a 'roulade', it was smoked salmon on a plate with a tiny bit of salad, not the pickled vegetables mentioned. The roast beef was very... More

When looking for a pub with decent beer and lunch, we were not disappointed. The staff were friendly, and though the food took a little while to come, it was wholesome and fitted the bill for a snack - bacon and brie toasted sandwich was perfect. I see that other reviewers were less than satisfied, but my wife and I... More

Good food and good portion size. Basic but fair pub menu choices. Nice pub garden with lovely views. Within easy walking distance from Ingleton.

Food was average, service very very slow whilst it didnt appear to be very busy. We did arrive near at 7.30pm and we could hear the kitchens busy cleaning up from our table. It took more than an hour 15 mins to prepare Cambrian sausage and Mash and then after 45 min we were told no mash available??? Sweets took... More

this could be a 1st class pub but needs a bit of tlc. My Sunday lunch was dissapointing with watery, tasteless gravy. Nice for a beer but would not eat here again I'm afraid

Lovely pub/restaurant with friendly, helpful staff. Clean rooms & a brilliant full English Breakfast. Dog & child friendly. Ideal place to stay after a walk around Ingleton Falls!

Before I begin what will be a negative review, I have to state that I am commenting on this establishment as a pub and not a restaurant, as we did not eat here. As real ale enthusiasts, we visited this pub during the recent 1940s weekend after reading a variety of positive reviews. Unfortunately, we couldn't disagree more. The beer... More

Stayed at the nearby caravan site for a long weekend and walked here for our evening meal on the first night with our 6 year old grandson. The staff were very welcoming and the range and standard of the food was great. The place is child and dog-friendly - in fact they lent us a dog bowl as we managed... More
