Ranked #9 of 13 restaurants in Ingleton
Cuisines: Pub
Dining options: Reservations
Description: We are a traditional Country Inn located 3/4 of a mile from Ingleton and just 6 miles away from Kirkby Lonsdale. We have 10 guest bedrooms, two of which have four poster beds, one twin bedroom and one family bedroom, the rest are double bedrooms. We are ideally located for the those doing the Yorkshire Three Peaks or visiting the White Scar Caves and Ingleton Waterfalls. All of our food is prepared freshly on site to order and we use locally sourced suppliers. For those Ale drinkers we have 8 Cask Ale hand pulls, which during the busy season we try and have all 8 on. During the quieter months this is not always possible. For those winter months we have two roaring log burning stoves in the bar and for the Summer months we have two lovely beer gardens, one out the front of the hotel looking over St Oswalds Church and one out the back looking over open fields. For the best available rates please look at the hotel website.

Stayed for two nights while climbing the three peaks. The good news is the staff are pleasant and the beer is good. The not so good news is the premises and rooms are run down and grubby at best. Hot water for the shower during the morning and evening is hard to come by. The ash trays by the rear... More

Decent beer and a nice garden, though inhabited by smokers. Fish and chips was ok,though mushy peas hard and cold. Chinese stir fry was inedible- swimming in oil, yuk!

Two of us had Sunday lunch here and it was spot on. Don't normal have roast dinner in restaurants (usually go for something I can't cook) but this time I did and I was pleased. It was lovely. Great veg and proper Yorkshire pudding. Will go again.

We were on holiday at a bed and breakfast and we ate twice at the Marton arms, the food was excellent and the staff were excellent especially Dan, he is a very good host and we would recommend anyone to eat there. Terry and Kay

Whilst we were staying at the Beech Tree Cottages, we went on many different walks and a couple of them took us pas the Marton Arms. We decided to have lunch after quite a challenging walk and we were not disappointed. The staff were extremely friendly, the food and drink absolutely touched the spot. Would recommend the Marton Arms

Lovely old pub with freindly staff great food and beer. Will be back when in the area again. We had to wait a little for the food but this was not a problem as it was very busy so it was excpected and it was most defenatly worth the wait

We had booked a table in advance and were told to sit anywhere we like on arrival. Would have been nice to have had a table laid up but not overly important. There was an excellent selection of drinks and the gentleman behind the bar was very friendly. Food was slightly slow to arrive and for some reason was brought... More

Hadn't been to this pub for years mainly because of the poor reputation it had acquired over the last few years. I am very glad to say that it has all changed for the better. Very nice pleasant welcome from the very capable barman. The food and draught beer on offer is excellent. I had goat's cheese fritter followed by... More

I would highly recommend the chicken and ribs in a box! .....an ideal location to watch the football too, not too crowded and plenty of comfortable seats!
