I have had lunch and dinner here a few times and chose to take family, in a party of 7, to celebrate my birthday this week at the Queens Head. The food was, as usual, delicious, interesting and beautifully presented. Service was really friendly, but not intrusive, and staff were aware enough to notice when a small problem arose at... More

Friendly service and excellent food. The steak and ale pie with puff pastry crust is delectable, the meat melts in the mouth. I have had it 4 times now and will be doing so again!

During a week's stay in Bedale we were directed to the Queen's Head and found it excellent. They do a 1,2 or 3 course special dinner before 7.30 which is excellent value, in fact on the first occasion we had too much to eat and had to ask for a little less on other occasions. We visited four times, the... More

A very welcoming country pub/restaurant. A quiet location but with wonderful views from the dining area. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. The food was well cooked delicious and nicely presented. There is a good choice of food and wine. The dining room is very spacious and comfortable. We would definitely return if we were in the area again.

We had a wait in the lounge area before our order was taken. When the soup arrived it lacked flavour and was disappointing The main courses were very good. The restaurant and bar was very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The prices we're comparable with others in the area. The view however was wonderful

I used to live in the next village many years ago until I moved to scotland. On a recent trip decided to revisit an old haunt. The restaurant has been somewhat expanded since my last visit and really nice it is too. I went with a family member who still lives in the next village and the food was amazing.... More

Absolutely great food. As we were staying in our caravan nearby decided to try the pub out and went back a few times after as the food was so good, the staff friendly and it was a lovely atmosphere both in the bar and the lounge, with log burning fires.

For a change we decided a mini trip to a few of our favourite spots in The Yorkshire Dales was needed. To begin with, lunch in the Queens, our first visit for around 6 years and it did not disappoint. We arrived at 12:15 p.m. on a dull, drizzley Saturday lunchtime, only 2 other people were in the bar ,where a log fire... More
