Stopover on way back from Scotland

Lucky enough to have stumbled upon this place following a cancellation. We had a lovely room attached to the pub, tastefully decorated and it also had nice big bath. Revisited for lunch in December 2014. Good homemade fare, friendly people and great value for money. If you are in the area make a detour, go find it and enjoy 2 courses for £10 or 3 courses for £14. You'll be delighted that you did! In the summer there is a wonderful view from the dining room. You can even... More

I have been to Sunday lunch here in the past and it has always been okay. However, I went last night on the spur of the moment, and found that, to my surprise, there was an early bird meal! The choices of either two or three courses meant you didn't have to have what you didn't want. Being a greedy... More

We have visited the Queen's Head at Fingall many times for Lunches and Evening Meals and have always found it to be good. The management were most accommodating the last time as we requested a particular seating arrangement and this was carried out exactly as requested. The food is very good and the view from the restaurant across the Dale... More

Great meal in a lovely country pub. Definitely the best meal we had in the area, everything including the service was top quality. We ate from the early menu b4 7.30 and the selection and value was a real cut above other places. Will visit again when in the area

I really enjoyed the menu here it was hard to chose from such a great selection. We had to sit in the bar due to it being busy but this made no difference to our enjoyment. They had a really good selection of gins my favourite tipple.

Once again we rocked up to The Queens Head for an Al Fresco lunch .. the menu is modern, the view incredible and the staff friendly ... The main bar area is atmospheric but very dark . . that said , in poor weather there is a delightful dining room where meals can be taken if the bar is too... More

We spent a week in the Leyburn area and found this gem of a place on the first day after reading Trip advisor reviews. Try the Sunday lunch and get a seat in the restaurant out the back for stunning views of the countryside if u can. Well worth a visit

Came across this quirky pub/restaurant and we weren't disappointed! The food was excellent, way beyond our expectations. I had the creamy mushrooms with bacon & blue cheese sauce, hubby had the king prawn dish, large portions and superb taste We both had the beef fillet with haggis, mini sausage roll, and whiskey sauce this was superb beautifully presented just delicious....
