We ate here for the Sunday Roast, which had been highly reviewed. It was set up on a buffet. You had your choice of ham, beef, lamb and pork, all of which they carved for you. They also had roasted potatoes and vegetables. Lots of various sauces and Yorkshire pudding. The food was average, maybe a little dry….but in fairness,... More

Very busy in restaurant but as it was a nice sunny day it was lovely sitting outside and watching the world go by. They had a prom night in the pub and was fun watching all the excitement outside. Ate from the specials board. Food and beer was good quatity. I would come again

My husband and I had lunch here whilst visiting the town. Although we hadn't booked, we were squeezed in and were given a pleasant table for two. The food was nicely presented and was very tasty. The staff were obliging and smiley. Would eat here again if in the area.

Excellent food, friendly staff, very well run. Went for an early meal the first evening having skipped lunch. The second evening we toyed with eating elsewhere but the food was so good we returned to The Feathers. It was fully booked but they managed to squeeze us in before the other parties arrived. Will return.

We've now been here twice and been impressed both times. They do simple pub fare - scampi etc - and a great specials menu. I had a crab/prawn/salmon salad and a fudge cheesecake. It can get crowded, but they seem to be able to find you a seat somewhere and the staff are alert, friendly and efficient.
