Visited this pub by chance when going through Helmsley. Thought it looked like a lovely town so stopped and went for a wander before stumbling upon this place. We both had the carvery which was very nice! Delicious meats, a great selection of vegetables and perfectly cooked crispy roast potatoes! Would definitely go again if I was in the area.

My companion and I were delighted we chose the Feathers, rather than one of seemingly dozens of other places to eat in Helmsley. The staff were friendly, the service was excellent and the food was just amazing. Will definitely eat there again!

I love their Sunday lunch. Good quality ingredients, well cooked and very generous portions. Great service, lovely friendly staff. I don't think you can get a better Sunday lunch out for the price

Had a great Sunday roast at the feathers. Ample meat & roast spuds with veg. Can also recommend the puds.

This recommendable venue for a tasty meal and close overheard conversations - is well worth a visit. My only recommendation to the owners would be to not stuff their clients into such close quarters!! The noise level was terribly noticeable, especially for those hard of hearing. The menu had variety and the food was colourfully chosen. Colour in presentation is... More

Stayed in Helmsley overnight on Tuesday 26/8/14 and ate out from the hotel we were staying at. Glad we did as we had had a lovely meal at the Feathers. My husband had the large fish & and Chips, the best he has ever had and I had the prawn cocktail followed by a chicken dish with veg and potatoes.... More

My partner and I visited today (Bank Holiday Monday) for lunch. Our meals were of good quality and a decent size. My partner enjoyed the chicken and ham pie, and I liked the chicken parmigiano with rocket and sundried tomato salad. We would've liked to have tried a dessert but we were just too full! The staff were friendly and... More

We have not been in The Feathers for many years and have fond memories as we spent our honeymoon there in 1983. A warm cosy atmosphere, good food and very friendly and efficient staff. We had sandwiches which were fresh, well filled and well presented and the chips were not too bad either.A very nice lunch and also reasonable.
