My partner and I visited today (Bank Holiday Monday) for lunch. Our meals were of good quality and a decent size. My partner enjoyed the chicken and ham pie, and I liked the chicken parmigiano with rocket and sundried tomato salad. We would've liked to have tried a dessert but we were just too full! The staff were friendly and... More

We have not been in The Feathers for many years and have fond memories as we spent our honeymoon there in 1983. A warm cosy atmosphere, good food and very friendly and efficient staff. We had sandwiches which were fresh, well filled and well presented and the chips were not too bad either.A very nice lunch and also reasonable.

All the classic dishes you would expect, very good quality tasty food & relatively good value. Huge portions, so only get a starter too if you're hungry! Potted shrimps were excellent, as was the Moules... More

Arrived in a small town looking for lunch . What a perfect venue, not one of those places that thinks ooh tourists let's produce poor quality at silly prices. Great food at a great price. We ordered a Caesar salad that for around a tenner you could not finish and was full of chicken rather than green leaves . The... More

Four of us called in for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. We ate in the front bar which is reserved exclusively for diners till late evening. A lovely room with a good atmosphere. Simple uncomplicated menu with something for most choices. Food served quickly and was reasonably tasty. Good selection of real ales. Our only complaint is we had to... More

A classic pub/restaurant centrally located with very good prices and a menu that offers some simple choices for those that don't want overly exotic.
