Just finished eating here for the second night in a row as we are staying at another hotel where the food wasn't to our taste. First night I ate the chicken parmagiano which was lovely and my husband had the steak and ale pie which was also very tasty. The chips, veg and salad served with these... read more

Today was our 3rd visit over 7 years so not a regular visitor. The food quality, choice & level of service at each visit has been exemplary. Thoroughly recommend this establishment. Will choose this restaurant over the many good alternatives in this village.

Unfortunately not at all as we expected. Over priced for what we got, 1 small dish of veg between 4 of us and the veg we got was very plain.

My wife and I had a very pleasant evening meal at the Feathers. The menu was interesting and the food wholesome - the food is not overpriced and the service was excellent. It is not somewhere to go for a quiet romantic meal but a good place to have a meal if you don't want to cook or you want... More

A bleak February day, cold and foggy but a warm welcome awaited us at this well run hostelry. The pub was warm enough except when the front door opened and then a searingly cold draught shot round all the pub!! My giant size fish and chips soon had me warmed up and our party of six were quite pleased with their food... More

We stayed for a week in Helmsley and dined at the Feathers twice. Food on Sunday night was excellent. The Sunday lunch time carvery had been recommended but, we were unable to make it and ate at night there. We all had various Sunday 'lunch' meals from the specials board of which there were a very good selection. Portions huge!... More
