We received a warm welcome on entering. Staff were very friendly and lovely with our dog and offered us water for her straight away. We ate lovely, home-made food which was good value too. We were offered extra hot water for our pot of tea, which is always a nice touch. The beetroot chutney was do nice we bought a... More

Called here whilst visiting relatives nearby and doing some last minute Christmas shopping. Well what a treat! Santa was in residence upstairs. The kids were absolutely delighted. Placed our orders with the friendly knowledgeable staff and whilst waiting popped in to see the big man. Having seen some dubious imposters over the years I have to say he was excellent.... More

Looked forward to a lovely flat white coffee and hot chocolate. Staff were stressed and it showed. Flat white coffee was just a glorified cappuccino and the hot chocolate luke-warm. Expected a bit more given the cost/reviews.

The coffee is excellent and there are plenty of tasty accompaniments to choose from. The staff is friendly and attentive. Nice spot for morning coffee... More

We visited this lovely café this morning and found it thoroughly enjoyable. We have visited a few cafes in Helmsley and this is definitely my favourite. Can't wait to go back.

Had the afternoon tea which consisted of sandwiches, mini cheese and fruit scone (came with delicious homemade strawberry jam and cream), choice of cake and tea or coffee. We had the carrot cake and lemon drizzle cake, both were very nice. At £9.95 the cost was a bit pricey but prices in Helmsley in general seem to be a bit... More

Popped in for a quick coffee - but stayed longer as we enjoyed it! Well prepared and string coffee - we'd go again
