We stayed for 1 night dinner bed and breakfast. The hotel is pleasant and the rooms comfy and well equipped. But the place is severely let down by the dinner and service. We wanted tea by the pool and had to track down a waiter who was doing his best to avoid serving. We weren't offered menus and it took... More

After wanting to try a meal at Feversham Arms for some time we finally arranged to go for lunch, no other guests in the dining room, ( worried) however the small menu,s arrived and we ordered homemade beefburger at £14.95 and sea bass at £16, Sea bass came parcelled and looked unappetising, when cut into it was raw in the... I do like a full meal. I only had 1 piece of ravioli for my starter. It was gorgeous but 3 pieces would of been better. Then fillet of beef for main with a spoon full of lentils, I asked for potatoes, I wouldn't of got any if I hadn't of asked. I do like vegetables and I didn't get... More

Lunch had finished being served when I called in so opted for afternoon tea instead. Changed the order to a sandwich as the cost of an afternoon tea was £21.00 plus £14.00 if you wanted a glass of champagne. The food was good when it came but nothing special regarding the presentation and at £11.80 for a smoked salmon and... More

We ate from the A La Carte Menu. I had goats cheese starter - tasty, but minute portion. Lamb main course. Unseasoned, dry timbale of lamb. About 5 broad beans and 2 baby carrots - not enough for an adult with an average appetite. Dessert was lemon Eton Mess- sounded lovely... But was very disappointed when served a scoop of... More

We had a spa day here on 5th august 2014. From the minute we arrived at 9am we were treated to pure luxury including the light lunch and the treatments. The gardens and the setting is excellent. I would definitely recommend it.

We have wanted to try the food at the Feversham Arms for a while now so booked a Sunday lunch, we were warmly welcomed and asked to sit in the bar area and our drinks order would be taken, it duly was and after a few minutes or food order was too. We were shown to our table in an... More

High quality, premium hotel. Superb facilities, enjoyed every minute of our family stay. Poolside suite with private patio area (Rm 21) was perfect during the hot weather. Lovely food and wine list ; expensive as you would expect at this end of the market. But worth treating yourself.

We went Feversham Arms Hotel for lunch. very disappointed for the quality of dishes. The lobster salad didn't have much lobster in it. When we mention casually to a chef about it, she told us there's whole tail and two claws in there. Their Lamb casserole was no better than that either. Just tast like tin tomato, and again no... Did not stay at the Hotel (which looks lovely) but was visiting Helmsley and decided to try the Verbena Spa on a whim. My sister and I were made very welcome, enthusiastically shown around, and helpfully fitted in for treatments later the same day. Staff were really friendly, and the place is impeccable - the massages we enjoyed were the... More
