We went for a family birthday Sunday get together on the recommendation of others and was not disappointed. From start to finish the service was exemplary and obviously creates and leaves a good impression. Our orders for drinks and menu choices was taken promptly and we never had to ask for anything as we were looked after so well. The... More

We went for a pre-Valentines meal at this pub, On entry staff were efficient polite and welcoming, we were given a very lovely table next to a roaring fireplace :). We were approached almost immediately for our drinks order, Large choice of beers and wines, and the staff were informative. Whilst waiting for our drinks we took in the cozy... More

We have driven passed the Emmott Arms many times over the years on our way back to Yorkshire via Howarth and have never considered stopping for a drink or a meal. Our friends that recommended it to us asked if we would like to go for lunch. On entry we were met by very welcoming staff and a lovely open... More

Absolutely gorgeous food at a reasonable price! Chicken stuffed with black pudding could be one of the best dishes I've eaten!

From the friendly welcome to the reasonable bill, this place is run to make you feel comfortable. We were well looked after, well fed with interesting food from a varied menu and left feeling very positive. The beer's good too. If we didn't live over 200 miles away, we eat here quite often.

Four of us visited in late January for supper, regulars round the bar and a friendly landlady! what a good start! We only ordered main courses but the starters looked very good indeed and maybe next time we will give them a try. We were all very impressed by the food, the steaks in particular. The place was warm and inviting, cosy even!... More
