Great pub food, lovely setting, excellent ale!

The Emmott Arms is situated on the main road through Laneshawbridge, so it's convenient for Colne as well as some fantastic local scenery. The pub itself boasts a lovely open fire, a small outside area (with lovely displays of flowers during the summer, and a very warm welcome. The staff are... read more

We visit the emmott on a regular basis. The open fire and candles in the evenings ensure a warm cosy setting. The staff are always polite and will go out of their way to help you and deliver a service that's second to none.

The food was served piping hot, and well presented, we all really enjoyed our choices, extremely well cooked, could not fault a thing,... More

Just got back from a fantastic meal at the Emmott Arms, the food was great, I had the chicken liver pate to start, so yum. Then my boyfriend had the chicken and black pudding, we've had this so many times and its always delicious I had the cheese and onion pie, still the best pie I've ever had. We had... More

The food was excellent, the service and attentiveness of staff and owners was just right. Definitely a good food pub with a variety of eating and drinking settings.

Called in for tea tonight and was as good as ever. Excellent atmosphere and fire roaring. Had the smothered chicken. Very nice. And just to say, Sonia 95, we haven't been limited in our dining experience as you suggest that all who dine there have. We've dined in places across the country. But we can't fault the Emmott Arms

Wednesday night is Quiz Night at the Emmott Arms. Feeling like a challenge, it was decided that we would eat first, in anticipation of an intellectual grilling. Not only did we find the open fire warm and welcoming, the staff are lovely too. The food is delicious, good sized portions (we have not managed a dessert yet...) and reasonably priced.... More

We haven't been to the Emmott arms for years and we were pleased we had eaten there again. The staff were friendly, the food generally excellent (although the lasagne was a little overcooked and stodgy) and the beers good. Portion sizes were fine so we struggled to manage dessert, although with a delicious sticky toffee pudding we were glad that... More

Went for dinner on Sunday 1st March 15. Had the roast ham dinner and it was lovely. I then ordered a knickerbockerglory and it was the best I have ever had. I sent compliments to the chef as it was so delicious and was told it was a young boy in the kitchen that had made it. Well done mate... More
