Just been back to our usual haunt the Emmott arms with my parents, who have driven 7 hours from Devon to visit us. They are tired and cranky, and a meal here has made them happy again! The chicken and black pudding was a favourite as usual, and the staff looked after them perfectly. Another winner from this lovely pub!

We have visited the Emmott Arms on a number of occasions and always had a nice meal, however, yesterday we were slightly disappointed. I ordered the Belly Pork which my husband had had a couple of months ago and really enjoyed. When it arrived it looked very good, but after starting to eat it, it was basically a slab of... More

Tremendous home made steak and ale pie with excellent nicely-browned chips and a decent portion of mushy peas. Top class pub grub by any standards. Others had gammon steak and egg, fish and chips and fishcakes..all of which looked terrific too. The owners deserve your support for reviving this pub so well.

The Emmott Arms is a very clean and pleasant place to visit. The staff are welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them. We have eaten here before and each time the food has been absolutely delicious. The pork belly is a must, nice and moist with great crackling. Will definitely be visiting again.

We recently visited as it's dog friendly, we used to frequent but unfortunately under previous management found the place had gone from good to average to simply poor, on every visit the place lacked atmosphere and food was below average. We visited as we had heard good things from friends, what an improvement! The menu had been simplified and they... More
