We didnt actually eat in the restaurant, we had the take away sat outside in the sun. The fish and chips were lovely, I just had the childs portion which was plenty for me,the others had haddock and chips. Beautiful white fish, steaming hot and the chips were very enjoyable.

Called in at bannys for lunch with my mum whilst out for the day. What a pleasant surprise. We were welcomed at the door and shown to our table. Fish a chips were amazing. Some of the best we have ever eaten and being allowed to choose your side dish peas, mushy or not, coleslaw, gravy etc makes a nice change. It... More

I took my friend and former golf partner here for her 88th birthday tea. She is a regular visitor and always has the children's portion which is plenty for her to eat. I usually have the regular fish and chips with mushy peas or coleslaw. There is a great ambience within the restaurants and everybody looks happy, chatty and satisfied. The... More

We were quickly seated, given menus and offered drinks. I had the fish cakes which were lovely and tasty, came with a tasty sweet chilli sauce as well as the chips and mushy peas that I was expecting. Husband and granddaughter had pudding and chips with mushy peas and gravy and apparently the gravy was very good. They both had... More

We called in on the spur of the moment and weren't disappointed. We were greeted by friendly staff and quickly shown to our table. Our drinks arrived promptly & we didn't have to wait too long for food. The haddock was delicious, but there were too many chips for me to finish! An enjoyable meal in a pleasant setting. We'll... I have had several visits to Bannys and it is high on my list to revisit. I agree with some comments it can be a little hit and miss especially when they are very busy due to sale events at Boundary Mill. Yesterday's visit though was faultless. The food was excellent and the staff couldn't be more helpful. I have... More

Takeaway Local and convenient. Big price and small portions. Staff could do with a shake up. Allways a smile and pleasant service from Rachel.
