Having grown up with a local fish and chip shop in Leeds I'd never found another that I'd want to consider for regular visits - then along came Banny's and thought I'd give it a try when it opened a few years back - regular visitor (every few weeks) ever since - whether visiting the shopping centre next door or... Took the family last night and we all enjoyed the food, the quality and quantity was good but the service lacked, we had all finished eating and we're sat ages waiting for the plates to be cleared and the sweet menu brought to us, in the end I had to call a waiter over and ask for the table to... Visited with friends/colleagues after I recommended this to them to sample proper Yorkshire fish and chips. Having been before, I knew I was safe in 1/the restaurant (cleanliness, atmosphere etc) and 2/ the quality and quantity of the food. If you REALLY enjoy fish and chips, you will love it hear. Enjoy!

Great quality, great service, super Fish & Chips. Always clean and bright, this eatery is ideal for popping in on the way back from Yorkshire, back to the warmth of Lancashire (Joking). We often call when returning from a shopping trip to Harrogate.

The service was very efficient & the staff friendly . Next time I'm in that part of the world I... More

Yesterday, I visited Bannys for the second time. The first time was mid-week having been shopping at Boundary Mill. On both occasions I had fish (haddock) and chips with a side of peas. The fish and chips is a set price (£7.99 I think) with your choice if side order; I had mushy peas both times. The first time (and... More

I'll never eat fish and chips from anywhere else in the north west! I've been loads of times and each time the fish has been perfect.

We visited on Aug Bank Hol and were kept waiting about 10 minutes to be seated, once seated we had our order taken very quickly, received the drinks equally as quickly, followed by food about 15 minutes later. The food was lovely, homemade chips (makes a difference to frozen), fresh fish, bot h kids and adults enjoyed their meals. Pricey... More
