A very ordinary fish and chip restaurant. Whilst the fish was cooked well the chips were soggy and unappetising. A very small portion of tasteless mushy peas didn't enhance the meal. Friends had prawn salad which was preferable. But all in all not an enjoyable experience. I've had better meals at supermarkets. Boundary Mill have a captive audience - surely... More

Food quality was "very good" when normally it's "excellent" - one or two chips were a bit firm, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that it's down to variation in potato quality (they're usually crispy, fluffy and golden). However my main concern is the reduction in portion size. Now I can understand reducing the amount of chips... More

On a recent visit to Boundary Mill, we decided to have lunch in Banny's. The staff were very friendly, took our order immediately( we knew what we wanted) and before we knew it along came our fish and chips. The fish was battered with a very light crispy batter. The fish itself was large and meaty and very well cooked.... More

Chips under cooked, a sausage that looked like it was about a penny worth of meat. Saw loads left on people's plates, not sure why it gets such great reviews. Avoid.

Been meaning to try for ages! The staff were lovely and attentive, couldn't fault them at all. Chips a bit undercooked and lots of 'bits'. Fish and batter tasted lovely but fish not very meaty, kept flaking into little bits. It was OK and reasonably priced.

Just been to Banny's for the second time in recent weeks. The first was as a result of a visit to Boundary Mills but the second was simply a trip to Banny's. The fish and chips were once again superb. it was a nice day so we chose the takeaway option and sat outside in the sunshine. Their chips are... More

Called in at bannys for lunch with my mum whilst out for the day. What a pleasant surprise. We were welcomed at the door and shown to our table. Fish a chips were amazing. Some of the best we have ever eaten and being allowed to choose your side dish peas, mushy or not, coleslaw, gravy etc makes a nice change. It... More

I took my friend and former golf partner here for her 88th birthday tea. She is a regular visitor and always has the children's portion which is plenty for her to eat. I usually have the regular fish and chips with mushy peas or coleslaw. There is a great ambience within the restaurants and everybody looks happy, chatty and satisfied. The... More
