Visited after shopping at the Mill, the place is well presented and very clean, it was very quiet given it was 6pm and although they had plenty of staff service was slow, this didn't appear to be a problem with the waiting on staff but more of an issue once the order had been taken and therefore the kitchen staff.... I haven't had a poor experience ever eating here and have done on various occasions, The food has always been fresh and tasty and service has always been quick. I have only ever had fish, chips and mushy peas so can't comment on any foods other than that. Reasonably priced for the large portions you receive. Will be back again

We've been coming here once a year for the past 7 or 8 years. Today's visit will be the last. Poor service but much worse was the food. The fish was more batter than haddock, the mushy peas were tasteless and the chips were the worst I've eaten anywhere for many years. No mayonnaise or tarter sauce, just bog standard... More

I received a fish the size of a whale, and tasted like it was freshly caught that very morning. The service was fast, as always, and everything about bannys is just spot on.

If you want a large portion of good quality, non greasy, chippy style food in restaurant surroundings, this is the place for you. The fish are huge and the batter is light and crispy. The menu is really only chippy food so don't expect any variation. You could try a salad or a sandwich but I have to question why... More

This restaurant is part of Boundary Mill and is always busy with shoppers and coach parties. It is not too badly priced and is usually of good quality and plentiful. It has two dining rooms although both are not always in use depending on the time of day and customers are always shown to their table. Food is usually served... More

We used to go to bannys around once every two month or so as a treat, but around 6 months ago the food and service started to go severely down hill. As a family of four with different allergys is difficult to eat out but knowing bannys make gluten free batter is good for us, until they served us sauce... More
