This place has been taken over by a young couple and now opens on weekend evenings, serving wonderful Italian style food. We went for the second time this evening and because it was our anniversary, were treated to red roses and petals on the table, a lovely touch. The food is outstanding - fresh fish ( I had a whole... I visited this cafe on a Sunday Afternoon for a Devonshire Cream Tea. For just over a fiver I got 2 Scones, Clotted Cream Jam and a large pot of Tea where I got around 4 or 5 cups out of it. Well worth it. The staff are absolutely friendly and well recommended.

A friend and I chose to eat at an outside table on a perfect hot summer day. A good situation to people watch by the fountain. We used the ladies loo but there was no loo paper, no paper towels and the hand drier did not work. We politely told a member of staff who said that would be put... More

Enjoyed the two course lunch special and chose main course and desert . Well presented and tasty served with a friendly smile. The local people and visitors were happy to talk to us and this made for a special atmosphere.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, bit overpriced. The seagulls are a menace when you sit outdoors, it they provide water guns for shooing the gulls away without hurting them.

My wife and I visited at lunchtime, many customers, mostly of a certain age. Elderly man playing an elderly organ, it was like walking back into time, but not in a nice way. Staff polite but seemed indifferent to those who are not regulars. Main meal ordered followed by a 30 minute wait. When it arrived it was dull and... More

Went in here for coffee very old-fashioned decor. Coffee was ok toasted teacake could have been better. Chap playing the piano think this must have been for the locals who were frequenting the place. Not my sort of place at all. Staff indifferent probably only interested in their regulars.

The dairy maid is a great place for lunch. The food is cooked well and presented nicely. Most of the staff are pleasant and attentive. The cafe is kept very clean. I often take my friends here for a chat and bite to eat.
