A friend and I chose to eat at an outside table on a perfect hot summer day. A good situation to people watch by the fountain. We used the ladies loo but there was no loo paper, no paper towels and the hand drier did not work. We politely told a member of staff who said that would be put... More

Enjoyed the two course lunch special and chose main course and desert . Well presented and tasty served with a friendly smile. The local people and visitors were happy to talk to us and this made for a special atmosphere.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, bit overpriced. The seagulls are a menace when you sit outdoors, it they provide water guns for shooing the gulls away without hurting them.

I nice place to have lunch good value and a nice selection of food . I found that it was a nice touch giving us water pistols to keep the seagulls away.

The dairy maid is a great place for lunch. The food is cooked well and presented nicely. Most of the staff are pleasant and attentive. The cafe is kept very clean. I often take my friends here for a chat and bite to eat.

What can I say....this is the Faulty Towers of cafes, the glum faced middle aged lady who serves obviously doesn't like being disturbed by customers. We went in for coffee and toast and after we ordered we asked if we could use the toilets, she said we couldn't use them as they had been cleaned??!!! We could use the disabled... More

Breakfast was good made from good quality sausage, bacon, egg, and bread etc. It was well cooked the establishment was very clean, and although quite busy for a Sunday morning the staff were still very friendly, polite and quick to serve. Spot on.

The Dairy Maid has a varied menu and we were highly delighted on the several occasions we visited. The food was good and was value for money. If there is one downside about this establishment is that it did not open in the evening when we stayed in Teignmouth for the first week in September. Had it been open we... More

Possibly the worst food I have ever had, this place is a total greasy spoon. I ordered haddock and got a slab of slimy reconstituted white gunk coated in something that looked and tasted like sawdust fried in engine oil. Disgusting!

Popped in on a dull wet Monday afternooon for a snack and coffee. Had a sausage sandwich and coffee. Ordered chips instead of crisps for a pound extra. Sandwich was just ok without being spectacular and was accompanied by a imaginative salad. The pounds worth of chips consisted of 7 (seven) slabs of oven chips that were lukewarm. Coffee was... More
