We dropped in on a Friday evening quite early and were shown at once to a table. We had barely sat down when we were brought iced water and a bread basket. The menu was set out innovatively on boards and neatly divided into starters mains and desserts. The spelling of some items was imaginative. Our drinks and food were brought... More

Went for dinner. Poor reception. Maitre d' was to 'busy to even acknowledge our presence. Sat at table in conservatory next to lamps etc that were so caked in dust I suspect that no cleaning has taken place since the place was built. The food was mediocre, the service dreadful (none of the staf had any idea of how to... More

Just returned from my Sisters Wedding which was held here on the 5th August 2014 (Jan and Neil ) now Mr & Mrs Cannon, and was held in the garden and then a sit down meal, the food was exceptional and more than enough to go around ,All the staff were very friendly and most helpful to the extent that... Recommended. We can thoroughly recommend The Cockhaven Manor in Bishopsteignton for eating out or an overnight stay. Over several years we have tried and scored a large number of restaurants in South Devon but our all-time favourite is The Cockhaven Manor. Good food every time, good service from lovely staff, nice relaxed atmosphere and reasonably priced. You won’t be disappointed.

Having been to this restaurant a few times but not for a few years found it to be as pleasant and relaxing as ever. The menu and the Specials are well thought out and the service was with a smile. It is certainly good value for money and for those who expect an even higher standard should appreciate that you... More

This is the third time my wife and I have been to the Cockhaven manor inn for a meal (Sat 12th July) we were warmly greeted as usual and showed straight away to our table. The food and quality was as usual,up to a very high standard,we both felt full after starters and mains but decided to have a desert sticky... We had heard about this venue from various local sources. Foolishly I had left enquiring for a table for 6 until the day (a Saturday). It was for a birthday celebration. The host very kindly managed to "squeeze" us in. The ambience was perfect, the host very attentive. Food was well presented and represented excellent value for money. All in... More

I love going here. It is always clean and tidy. The staff are out of this world. Perfect in every way. They will laugh and joke with you and still do their job 100% the chefs are amazing at cooking. The owner is very kind and nothing is to much trouble. The food is perfect. I am a single parent... More

My husband and I visited the restaurant tonight as we were on holiday in Devon. For many years we have been meaning to visit Cockhaven Manor for a meal but what a disappointment! On arrival we checked in at the bar where we purchased drinks and were taken to our table. We were placed in the middle of the room... More
