We happened to stumble upon the Ship Inn whilst walking in Shaldon. It was a bank holiday and the beer garden and pub were packed. There was a band playing which were good, drinks were fine (although I do hate plastic glasses but I understand the necessity!) - we had a great time. there was a bbq going on but... More

We are lucky enough to live in Teignmouth and whenever friends or family visit we always make sure we take them to The Ship. The views of the estuary looking towards Dartmoor are truly breathtaking and the bar staff are always extremely friendly and helpful. There is nowhere nicer to while away a few hours in the sunshine than sat... More

While the location and variety of Ales available make the Ship Inn initially appealing, the dreadful customer service spoils the experience. We had a dodgy metallic tasting pint which staff out right refused to replace, even when it had barely been touched. Wouldn't visit again.

The Ship Inn is not the most attractive place to eat. But the food was good pub grub and the prices were very reasonable.

Great pub right on the back beach. We only stopped for drinks but the kids loved to play on the beach while we had an hour off to recover. Would definitely recommend.

Visiting family in Teignmouth we booked a table (recommend you do the same) and were treated to some of the best fish & chips we've eaten for a long time. Accompanied by well kept Tribute and good Sauvingnon Blanc. Deserts were also top notch. On a busy Saturday we had friendly and attentive service. Will definately be comming back
