Ideal place for outside drinking

As long as its not raining a superb pub to buy a pint and drink outside watching the world go by. Table and seats provided. Decent drink and a go view of the back beach

On a sunny day this pub is fine for a drink due to its location but don't be tempted to eat here as the food served to me looked like it had been prepared by a four year old. It was also far to expensive for what you end up with on your plate. If your hungry go elsewhere or... More

Came here for a lunchtime meal with family. The menu was very overpriced, so got the chicken pops and fries off the specials board, what a let down ! Had 5 very small pieces of chicken and a handful of undercooked fries ! Very poor was like a kids portion. Nice view if your sat out the back though.

Great cossy pub with a nice veiw of the estuary. Good food and very reasonable prices. Service was good both at the bar and the waiter. Would come here again for a good honest pub grub Dave Hertfordshire

We've just had an amazing meal at the Ship which has recently been redecorated and honestly feels like a different pub!! The staff have always been friendly and the range of drinks (especially wine) is great! We had a mixture of meals tonight ; lasagne, fish and chips, mussels and steak and ale pie. All the food was cooked perfectly... More

Asked in the RNLI shop where they would recommend us to eat as we'd looked at a few menus (if displayed) and were unsure. Tucked round the back, so to speak, we found a busy, cozy and friendly pub. Lovely March day so some sat outside. We took one of the last tables inside, just in time as it got... More

We returned to the Ship Inn on Saturday 7th March during a weekend trip to Teignmouth. We had visited on a previous stay and were impressed with the quality of the food and the friendly and attentive service. Our latest visit was to be no exception, we reserved a table in the upstairs dining area, where you still get all... More

I took a friend for lunch there last week, as she highly recommended it. I had fish n chips, and the fish was 'SO' over-cooked, it was inedible. The batter was very crisp but it had obviously been in the deep fat fryer so long the fish was dried up and horrible.!! A basic chef should be able to do... More
