Went here for dinner - perfect meal. Tempura oysters to start were excellent, tried the scallops too also excellent. Had the turbot and risotto for mains which is with chicken wings - don't know how it works but it does - delicious. Rhubarb mousse with granny smith sorbet a perfect combination. We... read more

We took four old friends to Kota for dinner. None of them had been there before and they were amazed at how good the food was. The service wasn't rapid, but we had lots to natter about and the food was so good when it came, that it was well worth waiting for. The service was cheerful and attentive and... More

This is truly one of my favourite restaurants, we stumbled across it a few summers ago and we now return every birthday/celebration and every time it does not dissapoint. The food is exceptional and locally sourced, the staff are lovely and the restaurant itself is gorgeous, will be coming here for years to come :)

Great food, wonderful service, and an altogether delightful experience. Personally during the day I love the airy and relaxed Kota Kai, but for an evening meal the atmosphere and food at the original Kota is hard to beat anywhere Great seafood, locally sourced produce and a good selection for the veggies too. The quality of preparation and presentation is stunning.... More

Thought the set menu looked delicious. I chose asparagus and wild garlic soup followed by hake with new potatoes. When my soup arrived it was a luke warm thick white substance, nothing like my husband's who had ordered the same soup but with poached egg from the a la carte menu. When I queried with the waitress that mine neither... More

We came at 6pm as we had a long drive back to Bristol. The atmosphere was still very good and front of house and service excellent. I loved the mussels and chorizo. A great place to eat, thanks.
