We had the trio of duck and monkfish for mains, both were delicious. We enjoyed our evening and we're lucky to get a table at such short notice.

We booked this restaurant after seeing Jude Kereamas on the Great British Menu recently, and being impressed with his creativity on the show. Having now actually tasted his cooking at Kota, we can honestly say that it is amongst the most flavoursome and imaginative food we have ever eaten. Every mouthful of each course was simply stunning and bursting with... More

The young have an expression "OMG". That is Kota. Scallops and Belly Pork - so subtle, Mussels and Chorizo - wonderfully powerful. Trio of Duck, John Dory substitute for Hake both Magnificent. I love the attitude that diners should take there time and mention if they are in a hurry. Staff were genuinely attentative and interested in their customers. We... More

We enjoyed a 3 course meal at Kota, including the best chocolate fondant I have ever had and I've had a few. The service was friendly, the wine was good and the food was excellent. If you are looking for great food, I would recommend Kota.

This was our first visit and we will certainly be back. The service was above excellent, particularly the maitre d'. The amuse-bouches were amazing. The starters and mains were absolutely delicious, particular the turbot with broad bean and samphire risotto as well as the duck main; both of which were amongst the best meals we've eaten. At this point, we... More

we have been to Kota and Kota Kai many times and the food is always beautifully presente and tastes amazing. However the service was so slow on our last visit with friends that it spoilt the experience. Hope it was a one off.

Family of four (two teenagers). Ate midweek and managed to get the last table. Absolutely brilliant meal. We all chose from the set menu then added tempura oysters as an extra. Prawn bisque was particularly delicious. What luck we chose this wonderful restaurant - doesn't look much from the outside, but staff were great, wine list excellent and for less... More

I have been going to Kota for a long time, and every time we go it just gets better and better. Which I didn't think was possible! A party of 6 of us went out last night for my mum's birthday. The food was incredible, the staff are wonderful and the atmosphere is lovely. The asian twist Jude adds is... More

Four of us went to Kota for dinner the penultimate day of our holiday. It was everything I had hoped for. The food was really special both in flavour and in presentation, it was almost too pretty to touch. Between us we sampled the courgette flower, crab, scallops and venison carpaccio, then the gnocchi, the duck and the turbot, followed... More
