Best view in Turkey

Well, we made the roughly 3 mile walk from downtown Buyukada to Aya Yorgi and Yüceltepe Kır Gazinosu... it was worth the walk! We set out at about two hours before sunset, and the walk took about 1.5 hours. Delightful! We caught the sunset and headed over to Yucetepe Kir Gazinou which is... read more

This is the best spot in Büyükada for sunset and full moon. I was there with my family for The last full Blue moon. The View was fantastic. One should not have great expectation for the food and service but for "kır lokantası" it is quite allright. I especially recommend köfte/meatballs, sucuk/Turkish sausage, börek, and salad. These are very tasty.... More

It takes pretty much time to climb the steepy hill and is amazing be at the highest point in the island. After such a long walk it is worth to visit this nice place on the top with an amazing view and enjoy the food and nature.

One of the "must go and see" places in Istanbul. Start with a nice walk from the wharf to this place, you shall count about 1.5 hours with a 30-40mn hill included to reach the top of the island. I dont suggest the horse carriage from the wharf to the called Lunapark place just before the hill, as it can... More

After a long climbing that takes minimum 30 minutes you will be surprised for the excellent wiev. If you reach to the top there is only one restaurant and dont miss to eat there. All the food is good and dont forget to drink the special wine which is produce special for this restaurant.

One of the best day-trips out of Istanbul in sunny weather must be a boat-ride from Kabatas to Büyükada (Prinkipo), the largest and last of the Princes Islands in the Marmara Sea. Once there hire a Phaeton to take you to the Birlik Meydani (Lunapark). These carriages seat 4 persons. Prices are marked on a board (at the moment this... More

This restaurant is worth visiting even if it's just for the view! But when combining good food with amazing panorama, it definitely becomes a must on your (maybe) (un)planned 'to-do' list on Büyükada. I haven't had a plan when I came there, I simply let myself being charmed by the beauty I found everywhere around me. This restaurant has freshly... More

This nice and fresh restaurant is at the top of Buyukada. There is a nice sea viev and the food is great. They create their own meatball. It is much more strange, but it is awsome. I absolutely can't tell something bad about it. Their salad is so tasty that you even don't understand when it is finished. Belive me... More
