The Gazpacho was very poor, this should be a local specialty in Catalunya, but i've had better in The Netherlands.... The Sardines were also dissappointing, and served with crisps. My friends and family were very positive about the food. Maybe just don't take the Gazpacho and Sardines. The Tarte Tatin was very good.

Welcoming, unfussy and of the region. Smart food presented smartly. Reasonably priced for the fairly upmarket resort of Llafranc and set to challenge the local m-star restaurant for food and value if not for the full experience

We are regular visitors of Llafranc and lunch once a year with friends at Simpson. This year we have experienced the greatest desillusion you can imagine. We forgot a valuable autoped of our youngest son in the restaurant and returned two hours later to pick it up. We were threated by the headwaiter as idiots. They had found nothing, the... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by a local barman. He said it was the best in Llafranc. We didn't find it so, the meals were small and slightly pretentious, my French fries were more like bits of batter from a chip shop - very unimpressed. Staff were attentive and the service was efficient but not particularly friendly or welcoming.... More

How have we missed this restaurant on previous visits to Llafranc? An amazing find which should be a must for any trip. The menu shows real creativity whilst also being traditional and offering something for everyone. You will be taken aback by the food when it arrives - sit and enjoy a real delight. The service gives the impression of... More

If Llafranc is one of the loveliest spots in the Catalan Costa Brava - one of its most peaceful and lovely bays -, Simpsons is the hidden gem you always wanted to discover and no-one told you about. Excellent local food with a touch of class, relaxed atmosphere and a beautiful view of the sea to modulate your gastronomic experience.... More

The Simpson is more than a restaurant in Llafranc. Situated in by the beach all the "beatiful" people in the area go there for dinner in Summer. Felix manages the dining room and will decide if you are the type of customer he wants in the restaurant. It can sound a bit posh but it guarantees that the atmosphere is... More

As we usually travel through Northern Spain twice a year, we never miss the opportunity to visit Simpsons in Llafranc. Llafranc itself is well worth the effort, Simpsons, however, is the icing on the cake!! Owner Felix and his Staff consistently deliver,  in a extremely relaxed fashion, wonderful  local dishes that include fresh fish and imaginative salads with a twist.... More

What a lovely, pleasant suprise! My husband and I had a lovely al fresco dinner here on a Saturday night in late July. It was recommended to us by a fellow guest at the Aguia Blava hotel, Begur Spain where we were staying. The restaurant outdoor seating area overlooked the seaside boardwalk, which was peacefully and sparsly strolled by families... More
