We stayed a week in Llafranc and the meal here was a real highlight. It was very busy and bustling (advise you book in advance) however they also gave really excellent service. We loved the menu, the sangria was top notch and the black ink paella an absolute treat and truly memorable. This will be at the top of our... More

Really enjoyed our paella, which was delicious and was obviously nice to be sitting outside with a beautiful view of the beach too.

We had a great evening meal here as a family. The place is always really busy but the service is so excellent that you don't have to wait. The menu was excellent with traditional Catalan food. My husband ordered scallop carpaccio but it wasn't to his taste so he left it. When the waiters noticed his full plate, they absolutely... More

My wife, my 86 year mother and I visited La Llagosta Restaurant on 3 June for an evening meal. We all started with a large plate amongst us of cockles cooked in a tomato sauce. The women then shared a cauldron of suquet (Catalan fish stew, based on monkfish), and I had "arroz negro", or black rice. This had various... More

We ate here day one in llafranc and food was generally good, service a bit gruff but acceptable but at least the wine was very good. However, came back day two, only to be shouted at twice by the waiter (red haired young male) because we had the temerity to sit down at one of the many free tables. We... More

We visited this restaurant and two occasions because we enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. the food is catalan with great fish and seafood selection. After a long day of walking the coastal path it was great to relax here. The service was very friendly and efficient, even when very busy. The location is overlooking the bay, remember to book... Had lunch here first day we ,arrived. The restaurant was busy with apparently many locals. Unfortunately we must have had our invisible cloaks on, with many having their orders taken arriving much later than us. The food wasn't too memorable either. We didn't go back. I agree with the previous poster as regards the rice dishes, they are mostly overpriced... More

Perhaps we ordered badly as this restaurant seems one of the busiest on the front. However the fare was deeply disappointing. The children had been looking forward to their first 'paella' and what came was a rather tired example with a considerable lack of seafood. The staff also appeared to been focused on having us out to allow the later... More

This appears to be the most expensive restaurant along the seafront and we thought that this might mean we'd have an above average experience. We went for an early dinner at about 8pm. No tables were taken but a big play was made of all the tables at the front being reserved. We were put at the back, on a... More
