This is a very small eating place -- only seven tables --- so we booked for Sunday lunch -- only to discover that ,apart from one family , we were the only ones there ! The owner is very pleasant and guided us through the menu. We chose all of the house special " piquitos" and were not disappointed. We... More

My wife was recommended this restaurant by a local hairdresser and we weren't disappointed. What I would say though is walk to this restaurant rather than drive, as with the narrow streets and one way system in San Miguel it makes it hard to get to be car. The restaurant itself is very rustic, with terracotta tiles on the inside... More

This place is small, so get in early. It's quirky, the food is AMAZING and very good value for money. Black pudding croquettes are to die for (although you don't really need a starter per se as the 'cover charge' bread and beans are divine) then we had a rabbit and a goat dish... both were sensational. Just go!

As we travelled the whole day we decided for an exceptional early dinner and La Tasquita was fortunately open early and already busy at 19.15 hours (just after we entered all tables were occupied). We enjoyed a nice dinner with fish croquetes, rabbit in salmorejo sauce, a chickpea stew (garbanza) and for desert small fried dough balls coated with chocolate... More

After a long day travelling to Tenerife we decided to have an early diner and we found the restaurant already busy at 19.15 hours. We had one of the last tables and enjoyed a nice diner with fish croquetes, rabbit with salmorejo sauce, chickpea stew and for desert small fried dough balls coated with chocolate sauce.

The owner is very proud of his Canarian roots. The place is a small wooden bar but on three floors, the top one is under the roof eaves. Nicely characterful. Food was a notch above the tourist traps and we thought the prices were reasonable. Not worth a journey but a good choice if in the area. As another reporter... More

My boyfriend and I spent a weekend in the area and went to dinner here the first night as local friends had rated it very high. They were not wrong! The food is all local produce but the mix is extremely original. The various favors all brought into one bite is an explosion in your mouth. The owner is very... More

We arrived to a nice welcome, we took up the offer of bread. We received some bread, bowl of marrowfat beans and dip, we left the marrowfat beans and from this point the owner became very rude. Whilst my husband was at the toilet he came and moved my wine glass (that I was using to drink his wine) back... More

We took friends to thus little restaurant & not having been ourselves were unsure what we would find. We found a charming little restaurant with only 7 tables, on different levels, really quaint. The owner was very friendly & can speak English if your Spanish is not too good, all the wine is local and the good was very good,... More

This little restaurant is hidden away in the middle of the beautiful old town of San Miguel. It was formerly the village Post Office and is a lovely huddle of little rooms and knooks and crannies. The foood ranges from authentic tapas to main courses. Most of the dishes are authentic Canarian and largely based on locally sourced ingredients. We... More
