We had discovered that restaurant would be closed from November 16-20 so had confirmed booking for Sunday 19th. We arrived to find notice telling us that they had closed the day before, but no contact with us. So over 50 euros in taxi fares for no reason. Not good customer service, and no apology since.

We visited La Tasquita with friends on their recommendation .What a lovely suprise, the venue was gorgeous in a lovely little village. The restaurant itself is quaint and rustic and run by a man and wife team We had several things to share as a starter including the black pudding which was lovely.I had albondigas to start which were made from... An excellent small restaurant hidden away in the centre of San Miguel. For me its best to visit on winter as it small and cosy. The starters are really tasty and different, the mains are superb

A complete rip off; canarian wine more expensive than the meal for 3 people;some wines are not on the list so, if you ask for the owner suggestion about what to drink, make sure he tells you the prices of the wines as they can't be over 15€ per bottle; tonight, I've been charged of 60€ for two bottles of... Taken by daughter and fiancé having promised to take us there add one time ago. Finally we made it. What a unique situation. A very old canaria house in San Miguel de Abona, which has been in the family almost ever. The restaurant is in the hands of the owner /chef who delights in inventing dishes based on recipes from... We had a very good meal here on a Sunday evening. The owner, I presume from other reviews, was welcoming and helpful. We went with a big salad to start and chickpea stew. Both were delicious and filling on top of the dips that came with the bread. So slightly regretted not sharing a main, but there you go. We... More

I was there with local friends and I am thankful for this discovery. The restaurant is located in a well maintained canarian house, warm and genuine; Menu is traditionally Canarian, with several starters to try: their Almogrote was good, grilled cheese was amazing (Queso Asado). Best thing had been surely fresh desserts: Huevo Molle was delicious! The owner that served... More

Several years, when we are have a holiday in Tenerife, we visit this very cosy restaurant. By now we know the 'cocinera' and 'El patron' rather well. Both are so frendly and they serve fabulous typical food. Reasonable prices and good choice of wines.
