Probably should not have ordered Pizza but it was on the menu, might be better for steak but unfortunately we ordered Pizza, never again.

Nice ambience & attentive staff. Very good starter, but disappointing main course. There is a much better restaurant further along the piazza.

Ate here tonight and all I can say is don't bother. Awful food, forgetful staff horrible location. In fact it seems most of the "resort" consists of cheap, tacky restaurants. Cheap nasty Spanish resort- don't bother!

We have eaten at El Gaitero I think 3 times now over the last 3 holidays. The food is always excellent - the service excellent also - however they did have a large party arrive this time and seemed to forget about us. Will not put us off though and will probably visit again next time we are in Puerto... More

This is the first restaurant we ate at during our 7 night stay in Puerto Rico - the staff were friendly and the food was really nice. It was late when we ate and I couldn't eat all my food, which seemed to offend the waitress - sorry, I was just tired.

Just a short walk through the tunnel from where we were staying at the Morasol suites and El Gaitero was a gem on our doorstep. Definitely would recommend the sea salt seabass - fantastic and all expertly filleted at the table! Very impressive :-) The service was very good; attentive without being overbearing. A warm and friendly welcome and a... More

It's our second visit in a week......El Gaitero has a great atmosphere and excellent food!! The breaded swordfish and salt crusted sea bass is amazing and the chef prepared a delicious carbonara for my daughter even though it wasn't on the menu. You get hassled to eat at most of the restaurants in Puerto Rico which is irritating but this... More

I have been dining at this restaurant for a number of years and the quality of the food has never wavered. Having just spent a week at the nearby Morasol Suites, we visited El Gaitero on our first and last night of the holiday. I think it speaks volumes that the same staff are present year on year and offer... More

We visited with family and although we felt put off by the man calling out to us over the balcony persuading us to come up we has heard it was good. We has a lovely meal and couldn't complain about the huge portion sizes. Avoid the creme Catalana!! It was really bad

This restaurant is not in the busy commercial centre of Puerto Rico and this makes a huge difference to the dining experience. The location is not bustling with punters searching for bright lights and booze (we had that fun on a different night). It is amongst several other restaurants so there is still plenty of opportunity for people watching -... More
