Best Restaurant in Puerto Rico by a mile

Twice a year we spend 6 weeks in Puerto Rico and having sampled every good restaurant in the area, Minanas is simply the best. Food is consistently fabulous. Chef/Owner Juan and his partner Peter (Maitre,D) should be so proud. Special mention for Lamb chops cut from the rack!!

I cant believe all the hype about this place. I really did not get any spesial treatment and the food was mediocre. Both service and food are a lot bether inn El Ciervo in the commercial centre. Don't bother the climb up here!!

Have visited Minanas several times and never been disappointed. Just tell Juan to creat a Menu of today's meat, fish and vegetables, and you will not be disappointed. I'll be back for sure. Thanks to both Juan and Peter 😘😘

We were a Group of 3 People who found this restaurant highly rated here on tripadvisor. And we had high expectations. The entrance is anonymous but inside we found a really Nice atmosphere, and a cosy and Nice Place. Sadly tables are a little to high for the Chairs (im 173cm in height) The prices are cheap and the Food... More

I was rather pessimistic about visiting this restaurant as I am guilty of sticking with visiting the places I visit regularly, however I must say that I was glad I did. The staff were very friendly, particularly Peter, the surroundings were comfortable and the food was delicious. We never felt that we had to hurry, as is often the case... More

This restaurant was lovely inside, busy and staff were friendly but the food we had was average. Seafood Parcels starter and melon and ham in the shape of a boat(very 80's). Main course was seafood casserole which for 20 Euros each we expected much more. Menu was Duck,Steak and Chicken which didn't reflect the region. Most good revues come from... More

We really can't fault Minanas or the welcome from Peter and Juan and the lovely Luz. We eat here three times and on the last night Juan did tapas for us. Just enough wonderful food to feel full without being stuffed. We also had the wonderful lamb and all the trimmings. (both of these have to be ordered in advance)... More

If you're fed up of the identikit shopping centre steakhouses that make up the majority of the restaurants in Puerto Rico I'd definitely recommend making the short walk up the hill to Minanas, though you'll probably need to book ahead - we couldn't get a table as a walk in but we're glad we decided to book for the following... We went to Minanas on a recent visit to Puerto Rico and were disappointed..having read the reviews we had high hopes of an above average meal and experience however this was not to be the case sadly. The restaurant is quirky, and homely, staff friendly but food distinctly average.I was bemused at the reply to my question as to whether the main course...
