This is a traditional family restaurant, where every corner has a nice souvenir of his humble origins. We try to create a cozy atmosphere with its walls lined with natural wood and nailed one by one original form. We have a large dining room overlooking the main beach of the town where you can taste typical dishes of Rota as Rotena fish, good meat grilled or roasted lamb, but always respecting the recipes from 40 years ago They do in this house.

Nice Place

My wife had the Garlic chicken, she thought it was salty but was tasty. I had the Ox Steak, asked for medium but it was delivered medium rare. Although, i didn't mind at all. Over-all the experience was great and the service was good. I would recommend and would go back and try again.

My wife and I dearly love this restaurant. I was stationed in Rota for three years in the late 80s, and we were regular lunch and dinner customers. Always enjoyed our dining experiences here. Hope that Manolo, our regular waiter, is doing well and wish that we had taken him up on the strawberries and cream. Best place in Rota....God... More

Had an excellent buey. The beer was ice cold and the wine was excellent. Real old school earthy food.

I'm not a big fan of paella, but they did a great job. The food was good, but the service is FANTASTIC. I heard that the view in the summer is wonderful, but since I was there during winter, I didn't get to experience it. Another bonus: most places only serve paella for 2, so I was delighted to find... This place has an exceptional grill (Parilla) where you can chosse an assoted on meats or fish or simply for for teh platetr, which is enourours. A platter for 2 could easly feed 4! The lamb is fantastic. Anothe bonus is that this placve is open reasonably early in the evening for those struggling to come to grips with late... More

If you like plain, which is comon for Spain. There is no frills in Spain but the food is good here, as any place in Rota that serves the main summer industry it is over priced for what you get. The beer is good and cold, wife had the chunky fruit syrup, it tasted good if you like that kind... More

In 1973 I ate magnificent roast lamb shank in Madrid. I have hoped, in vain, since to match that dining experience. While in Rota in September I asked the hotel staff for a really good restaurant and after some thought they recommended el Pesembre. WOW!! I not only ate there that night but returned on two other occasions. Their lamb... More

It used to be a nice, quiet and quaint restaurant. After it expanded it lost much of what made it unique. Its decor is nothing special and it appears to cater mostly to the tourist crowd during the summer months. the food was good and it is reasonably priced.

Excellent, Fresh Seafood in old town Rota, Spain. The entrées were priced reasonably at 10-15 Euros. The wait staff was attentive, friendly, helpful and spoke English. I had a wonderfully prepared freshly caught, grilled sea bass while my wife had a Rota speciality of Grilled Tuna with Onions. The dishes were flavorfull, served promptly with generous sides of vegetables. At... More
