I myself am a chef and have been for the last thirty years. I worked as a Saucier for Wolfgang puck for several years and had several award winning restaurants of my own. When I first saw Dario it was on Anthony Bourdains no reservations and I immediately realized that here is someone who truly loves what he does and... More

Wonderful food in a charming setting -- great, attentive staff and food that surpasses the already high standards of the area. Memorable evening. Try the cabbage rolls. Excellent house wines.

This is Dario's restaurant where the fixed price meal is served family style at group setting tables. At 30 euro a person, it's a great value. Come early for the reception at the butcher shop across the street. Also, take the late seating (9:00) so you won't feel rushed as they need to clean up after the 7:00 seating.

We just left Mr. Dario Cecchini’s restaurant, Solociccia, The butcher of Panzano. The restaurant itself is well presented, with modern, contemporary decor. We had stopped by earlier in the week and made 7 pm reservations. Saw Mr. Cechinni, introduced ourselves, but he was to o busy to say a word. Shook our hand and off we went. Anyhow, they give you... It's not only a culinary experience but a cultural one as well. We were seated at a communal table with 10 other diners, half of which spoke English. Regardless, communication took place on many levels and made for a very entertaining evening. The food and service was awesome! Food and wine just kept coming to the table for about two... More

This is a place where you are seated at a big table with other guests from all over the world. Nice ambience, the food is from a set menu with about 8 courses and includes wine. The owner is a famous local butcher so the meat is excellent. A complimentary glass (or 2) of Grappa poured by the host in... More

We had a great night here at the communal table - feasting on wonderful meats by Dario. We had the 7pm sitting and was treated to numerous dishes and great chianti. We met Dario after who was happy to have his photo taken. Great fun night.

We went to dario after a "tip" from other people. We shouldn't have. What a terrible touristic moneymaking thing this is. Long tables, with only one type of wine and bread on the table. We were with 3 kids, when we asked if we could eat another thing than just the 50 euro dario meal, the answer was no. We... More

It worths all the time and travel. I would travel from Brazil again just to eat there. It was with no shadow of doubt the highest point of our trip. I had the honor to talk to Mr. Cecchini himself and it was amazing. Great food, amazing wine and the opportunity to make new friends! Just make sure you make... More
