Superb Tuscan food

We ate here twice during our week in Tuscany. The food is all local and fresh. The lamb is particularly good. Didn't have a bad dish. Parking can be a bit of an adventure

The food here was excellent, the gnocchi with cheese and pear was one of the best dishes I have ever eaten. I was very sad that we only went here on our last night hence could not return. Would happily revisit this restaurant in the future.

We stumbled upon this absolute gem as we were driving around Tuscany. Not only is Panzano in Chianti a sublimely charming, old, rustic town but this restaurant is arguably the best meal we have ever had. My partner said of the rabbit salad "this is the best salad I have ever had" and that sentiment was echoed with every dish... More

Visited November 22, 2014. An absolutely wonderful foodie experience. The owner is a very pretty young lady whose father is in charge of the dining room and whose boyfriend is the chef. Food was excellent and presented in an artistic way. We would have gone back a second nite but they were hosting a private party.Very highly recommend Sassolini if... More

We ate at Sassolini twice during our stay near Panzano, and those meals were some of the best during our entire trip to Tuscany. The service was excellent--the waiters accommodated our 15-month-old daughter perfectly, and they didn't bat an eye when we accidentally arrived for our reservation an hour early. (We didn't realize the time had changed in Italy. That... More

We went to this restaurant on our first night in Panzano. We were staying in a villa nearby. Parking is a bit tricky if you are trying to manoever a large van around the old town. We finally managed to find a spot on a side street. The meal was divine. Service was attentive but not intrusive. All 6 of... More

This restaurant was recommended by a local wine store owner, and we are so glad we listened to her recommendation! The atmosphere was friendly and intimate. We were treated like family. The food was absolutely amazing!! We had lasagna, a beef pasta I can't remember the name of, and pork medallions that absolutely melted in your mouth. Our only regret... More

Really hard to come up with something to say in addition to all the other rave reviews of this restaurant - it was just terrific. We sat in the courtyard on a nice sunny day and had lunch. Food and service top notch.

The staff could not be nicer. The food was absolutely lovely. Having seen the charming courtyard during the day, I wanted to sit outside for dinner but it was bit buggy and the staff advised against it. But they were perfectly willing to serve us out there if we preferred. We opted for a secondary, more rustic dining room and... More

My wife and I drove to Panzano on our honeymoon. After checking tripadvisor where to lunch, this was #1. It didn't let us down. Very friendly service, a real highlight, wonderful food and a rustic, well appointed fit out. Very reasonably priced and their house wine was from there own vineyard. Highly recommend.
