In touring the Chianti area, we were recommended this resturant for lunch. As soon as we got there, just the welcoming gave us the feeling that we are in a good place. We were seated immediately, the soda water which we order was served immediately as well. The wine was brought as well, and the meal which a nice well... More

For our first night in Panzano we ate at Sassolini as soon as they opened at 19:15. Sat in beautiful garden, and the maître d' did a good job of guiding a couple with a very young (and boisterous) little boy to a far corner (okay, I don't want screaming brats in my face for dinner - I'm a terrible... This place is always dependable. It has good service, decent food- the only thing is the house wine is not very good. Wish there were more wines by the glass. One of the better restaurants in Panzano- best Tagliata di Manzo that we have had! Good value too.

My husband and I were taken here for lunch by a very knowledgable Wine connoisseur during a chianti wine tour. This restaurant location is very special location. When walking into it you feel the history in this 18th century castle. We were more than impressed by the farm to table concept. From the wine, olive oil to the fresh Ingredients all... More

When the weather is nice, the inner courtyards are extremely pleasant places to have an evening meal. The propietor and his family are always welcoming and the meals are consistently good. By the standards of Tuscan eateries, this cantinetta is quite reasonably priced.

When wanted an authentic Tuscan family style restaurant and we found this gem. We asked the waitress (also the daughter) to surprise us wih the choices and surprise us she did. The food was excellent, the service was beyond excellent and the experience itself was well worth going. We all loved it.

We had a fabulous lunch in a beautiful courtyard setting. Service was excellent and friendly. Great house wine. We plan to return for dinner before we leave Panzano.

We were staying nearby and so ate their twice. Family run with familiar faces the 2nd time. the Bruscheta was the best I ever had. The grilled meats are also fabulous with a very good charcoal flavor - we tried both the lamb and the ribeye which were excellent after eating so much pasta on this trip. The outdoor courtyard... This place was a wonderful surprise - we found ourselves in Panzano as part of Angie's Tuscany Wine Tours and probably found this the best meal we had in 10 days of traveling around Tuscany. First the location: it's in a nice courtyard next to the walls of the castle, warm and sunny enough to enjoy the outdoors, but also... More
