A charming place, a restaurant with all the features to become "historical", since it stands where the first stones of Neapolis were placed in the far Middle Ages, today Polignano a Mare. Antiche Mura Restaurant is like the "Rotonde", the enchanting restaurant of the monumental Hotel Negresco in Nice, the place preferred by the most renowned people. Our idea is to realize an attractive corner of the Apulian cuisine, combining simplicity and refinement of choice. What strikes, apart from our good cuisine, is the refinement of our restaurant and the attention paid to every single detail. Finally, natural politeness and professionality will make the atmosphere pleasant and harmonious, for an unforgettable moment to spend together with other people.

Best choice for seafood in Poliganano a Mare!

Fish - perfectly prepared, seafood (raw was great, grilled worse but still good), very nice pasta with salmon and pesto, one of the best panna cotta we had in Italy and very decent limoncello. This restaurant doesn't look much from the outside but when you go in and turn the corner it has a delightful cave like interior. The waiters are very friendly and professional and they give you a free little starter and a small glass of Prosecco to welcome you. A nice touch. You pay for some of the meal by the... More

Pasta was great, salad was enormous with local veggies. There was a wait for your food that was longer than normal.

We were a large group and yet the waiter managed to meet the needs of each individual guest. It was a special night and we were not disappointed.

We had a beautifully judged lunch for 8. The restaurant was well patronised and there was a feeling of space and calm. The service was first class and the advice about what to have and with which wines was spot-on. The food was delicious and just the right amount. The 2 whole sea bass were excellently boned at the table... More

Very nice restaurant, knowledgable staff and excellent food well presented. Limited vegetarian options, specialises in fish - which you can choose. All in all a safe choice for a good meal.

We rolled out of this place - probably our most formal dining experience on this trip and certainly had plenty of food. Fresh fish chosen and baked for us. Tasty pasta. The little glass of bubbles to welcome you is a nice touch.

Four of us went for the seafood dishes, perhaps by design. We had four appetizers: grilled octopus salad, eggplant carpaccio, tuna carpaccio, and stuffed mussels. Mains were paccheri with seafood (x2), shrimp and scampi pasta, and pasta with shrimp, pesto and walnuts. All of them were very good, and we paid about 25 Euros pp, plus wine at about 15... More

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel which made reservations for our group of 12. We asked the waiter to have the chef choose the meal. The plates kept coming and coming. No regrets in allowing him to choose for the group. The staff recommend various wines. This was the first restaurant that we ate at in Puglia and was... More

This restaurant really looked nice with a quite large room with a high barrel vaulted ceiling in natural stone and tables set very nicely. Unfortunately it did not live up to it's appearance. Our starter of squid ink tagliolini was quite good but it all fell apart after that. My wife's main of grilled shrimp were pasty and my main... More
