Unusual Location and Experience

This restaurant is located in the side of a cliff below the town. It is very quiet and romantic with water lapping down below and birds and bats flying around over the water (not the patrons). Grotta Palazzese is a spectacular restaurant. The food is very good. The location is off the charts good. This may be the most spectacular restaurant setting I have ever seen. The restaurant is expensive especially for this part of Italy, but it is absolutely worth it. We went for lunch, and wish we could have gone back at night at... More

My friends took me away to Bari for the weekend just to go to this restaurant for dinner Saturday night and it didn't disappoint. Was worth flying to Italy for. So the location is totally amazing and beautiful. Nice touch to keep a dress code that suits the location. But what is really impressive is the fantastic food and service.... More

We visited in mid April, we were one of only 3 groups dining. The restaurant is not cheap, but the food was incredible. Fresh, crisp and taste infusion. The staff were on point, not once did I have an empty glass.

We drove from Vicenza, Italy for two days to dine at this restaurant my husband had been to prior during an assignment to Bari. Entered a spiral staircase carved in the rocky coastline of the Mediterranean sea. It was like a dream, colored lights to see the water washing in under us. It was the most romantic evening ever.

We came extra to Polignano a Mare to dine at this unusual Setting for a restaurant. Our experience meets beyond our expectation, the food was superb and deliciously presented, the Staff were friendly and efficient. The Place is magical and romantic and it was worth all the Euros we spent there, for we have had a lovely time. The Manager... More

We planned our Italy trip around this restaurant and it didn't disappoint. We arrived for lunch and apart from us only another couple. Food, wine and service was wonderful although expensive $$$ but worth every cent. The view was spectacular....very romantic venue. Lunch is casual - we were wearing shorts and t-shirts but dinner is a lot more formal. (just... More

We stayed at Grand Hotel Masseria Santa Lucia in Marina di Ostuni for 10 days. The weather was great for golf, and tourisme, not for a beach holiday. That's why we visited so many villages in the area of Ostuni, Bari, Southern Italy, which was a wonderful experience. The Province of Bari is beautiful. During that same holiday we arrived... More
