Good Food but Pricey

Lovely food and tasty. Nice quiet restaurant with great views. Staff were lovely. Got a simple vegetarian dish and it was €17. It was nice but just too expensive. Vegetarian food should never be comparative to meat dishes. This always puts me off eating out how badly vegetarians are treated. Other... read more

We booked the restaurant and had a party for 50 for a special birthday. Niall Hegarty, the owner, organised everything, including the band and the fireworks. We had a fantastic evening; the food, all locally sourced (smoked salmon, Beef Wellington, Eton Mess, West Cork cheeses) was mouthwatering. The service was impeccable and friendly. The view across the bay is breathtaking.... More

Crazy lunch time prices, Nothing special except the view. Prices were way to expensive for lunch time and location and I told that to person taking the order, that just because there's a nice view doesn't mean they can charge crazy prices. Staff I found not to be all that nice. Menu choice ok but too dead for lunch and... More

The view is amazing, everyone already knows that. Lovely atmosphere, friendly, welcoming staff who were very helpful. Unfortunately, the food was average and overpriced. For starter I had a lobster bisque which was basically watery lobster flavored broth. It wasn't particularly appetising, but what really grinded my gears was that it didn't even come with bread. We had to pay... More

This is a 'must visit' restaurant if you are in the area. Fantastic food - the chowder was excellent as was my monkfish and John Dory dish. Excellent cocktails on the menu as well. The staff were charming and extremely helpful and the host took time out of a very busy evening to chat to us each time he visited... More

We were booked in by our landlady for the night. What a great choice. The view over the bay was magnificent, the menu full of excellent fish dishes which were well prepared and presented. Our waitress was a delight and the whole ambience of the place was friendly and welcoming
