I have eaten here twice before both times in March and been very happy. However I now suspect that all is not well in the high season. My wife and I had dinner at La Cassandiere on Sunday 27th July 2014. We had booked for 20.00 and we were shown to a pleasant table. I chose to take the three... More

We were just idling in St Aygulf, we live locally, and made a spur of the moment decision to have lunch out rather than go home. We came across La Cassandiere, it was empty bar two people, it was lunch-time, but we thought we would give it a go. Well what a surprise ! The fish of the day was... More

It is two years (March 2012) since I first ate here and on returning this Mach 2014 it was just as good. I was here, on my own at lunchtime on Friday 28th March. I chose the lunchtime menu du jour €16.90 which was fish of the day and a coffee gourmand. The greeting, food, presentation, freshness of the food,... More

A very enjoyable experience, we'd passed this restaurant a few times, the we read other TA reviews and decided to give it a try. We're very pleased we did. it was warm inside. 3 courses on the set menu for either 20 or 28euros or you can have the a la carte menu, very good value, nice atmosphere and warm.... More

This is a favourite restaurant of ours. The menu is limited but there is something for everyone. They have fabulous fish and shellfish dishes. Their wines are terrific value for money and as you would expect in France the wine list is very well matched to the menu. Despite this we usually have a pichet of rose which never fails... More

We visited this restaurant last time we were in St Aygulf and were looking forward to a second meal. We both had grilled prawns, some of the best we've eaten (and I love prawns). Diane had ice-cream and I finished with an first class cheese board. The house rose was properly chilled and went down extremely easily! The staff were... More

La Cassandiere is in the centre of Town close by the area where the market takes place. It looks very stylish and does not have a huge menu. We had lunch on Thursday 15th March and chose the €20 three course menu. The reception, decor, service and presentation was five star. On this day the food was close to, but... More
