A firm favourite

We love this restaurant and have been every year we have stayed here . It's good value but the food is not spectacular by any means. However, round here you can pay a lot more for a lot lower quality. The best thing is the view across the bay to frejus and if you have a front table, it's great... read more

A throwback to the eighties, no fine dining here. Basic food, fish, grilled meats served with chips and salad. But it reminds you how good basic food can be when well cooked and here they have got it off to a fine art. I just love this type of French restaurant, they are around for years and years and they... We have just had dinner here. It was really good food, the place itself is in a lovely location and it was very reasonably priced. The only reason I didn't give it full marks was because it was so busy, the staff were running around like headless chickens, sometimes they came across rude. But I'm sure it was just because... We ate here one day as our favourite restaurant was closed. The staff were not friendly at all, in fact impatient and visibly unimpressed with our broken french, and seemed only interested in serving the local people around us. Quite a few tables served before us even though they were seated after. Food was okay general fast food fair, our fries... More

We looked aroud to find some place decent to eat and ended up here. The place looked alright. Ordered the soup, smoked salmon and calamaris. The soup was ok, not the best we had. The salmon was plain and simple salmon you buy in the supermarket combined with a bit of letuce/onions and the calamaris was really doughy. The fries... More

Our second beach-side meal in St Aygulf, and this one left us a little disappointed. Although straightforward to get a table for eight, without having a reservation, there was a slight sense of being simply "restaurant users" rather than being the valued customers described in other reviews. There is better customer service to be had elsewhere in the beach area.... More

We eat here 2 or 3 times whenever we get over to France and have been eating at this restaurant for over 25 years. Sadly the owner recently died leaving the restaurant to his wife. There have been a few changes, nothing too serious, but they no longer serve sauce au roquefort and the sauces that they do offer are... More
