We have been enjoying visiting Berard's occasionally for more than a decade, although mostly the newer restaurant, Le Bistro de Jef. This time we wanted to try out the gastronomic restaurant again after a "break" of a couple of years. As always we were warmly welcomed by Mme Berard, who took our order and advised on our choices. On this... More

We had a work conference nearby and this venue was our gala dinner setting. Despite us taking over the entire restaurant food was pretty much all served at once, perfectly presented and absolutely sublime. We had amuses bouches with champagne, and four excellent courses of dinner. Service was polite, surrounding characterful but the food is definitely the best part. If... More

Atmosphere: In the past we have experienced several times to get the feeling not being welcome in this restaurant but we decided to give it a try once more, since it's the only place in the area with 1 Michelin star. Service: Unfortunately we were not taken by surprise and the unwelcome feeling remained! Service is terrible and you just... More

We had a table close to the window with fantastic view of the valley. The service was friendly from entering at the reception until leaving. We had today´s menu - which can be highly recommended - together with a bottle of the local rosé from Bandol. This is a "must" in this area.

We paused in our wine tour in a charming hilltop village, and happenstance led us to a perfectly luscious lunch with incredible views! Who knew? Request the corner table for 2, which feels like a terrace even though it's inside. Let the wine steward select your wines for you. It's all local, fresh and fabulous, with flavors so subtly blended... More

We came here for lunch on a beautiful, sunny December Saturday. Arriving by taxi from Toulon we had time to walk to the top of the historic and picturesque hilltop village and chat to one of the locals before lunch. It is the most spectacular setting for a restaurant and I would love to go back and stay in the... More

Our group visited this place on October 2012. It was recommended by owner of Chateau de Pibarnon - Eric de Saint Victor. We choosed different menus. Best price was the Menu de Marche - 35.- € Food was very quality and perfectly served. Fillet de sanglier was excellent! Choice of different cheeses was superb. Wine list was very good and... More

Decided to stay at hostellerie based on restaurant's reputation. We were not disappointed with the experience . They had just re-opened after a break; had the degustation menu with recommended wines. Faultless food, overall a superb evening, overseen by a very proud Madame Bernard.

We have been on the French Coast between Marseille and Toulon for the last week end. We stayed at friends' home and we decided to bring our hosts at the Hostellerie Berard for dinner to thank them for their hospitality.
