Great French food

This is a really excellent small restaurant in the town of Le Crotoy. The food is very local, with fresh fish coming direct from the local boats. There is a great menu and choice and it is all beautifully presented. Highly recommend but it is very popular so do book ahead if you can.

This is one of our favourite family-run restaurants in France and it only gets better! The restaurant itself, in a lovely old red-brick house just behind the sea front, is bright and modern. The staff are genuinely warm, helpful and efficient. After a couple of little amuse-gueules, my first course was a pretty concoction of large, fat oysters, briefly cooked... More

We had a wonderful meal here .The hot fois gras with spiced bread was excellent. We also enjoyed the cod. They went out of their way to make changes to our dishes for allergy reasons. They even gave an alternative pre dessert which was a delicious sorbet. The lime meringues were delicious. The atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming. The menu was varied and good value for... Nothing fails...excellent friendly service, very tasty food with beautiful presentation, nice design of the restaurant. The price is extremely affordable - 9-12 euros for starters, 14-18 euros for main dishes. Nice wine list. Fish as well as meat available. Very nice cheese plate with local products. Book to make sure to get a table - even if you go off... More

We ate here based on previous Tripadvisor reviews. We have been holidaying in this area for more than 15 years and have enjoyed some fantastic meals so our expectations were high. The menu is restricted but we chose two very different-sounding main courses. When they arrived, they looked identical. The food was laid out on the plate in exactly the... More

This is an ordinary looking restaurant in an ordinary street in an ordinary French seaside town. That is where the ordinariness ends as it serves world class cuisine at reasonable prices. We started with the goose liver which was delicious, followed by fresh fish, beautifully cooked with imaginative sides. Finally a fantastic tart. The chef can do the lot. With... More

It's all about the food here. The dining room is quite simple, neither fussy not ultra-elegant, there's nothing to distract from what's on your plate. From the pre-starter (that was after the little grey shrimps to nibble while we read the menu) of two perfectly cooked mussels in a delicious asparagus velouté to the pre-dessert of iced melon soup and... Ate here back in October and revisited in late May this year with friends and enjoyed second visit even more than first. We kicked off with aperitifs in the lobby area, when a plate of small crevettes arrived with the drinks. The starters were preceded by a very tasty amuse-bouche made up of a tiny bowl of welsh rarebit ("Un... More

If you in the area (and even if not..) and you like perfect food, prefect service and very nice atmosphere you must go and have dinner or lunch in L'Auberge. We spent a WE during December in the area and i was looking (as usual) for a good place through Trip Advisor and thanks again to this site we found... More

We booked ahead to eat lunch in this restaurant at the end of October on a glorious sunny day. The experience did not get off to a good start when my husband, who does not eat fish or foie gras, explained that there wasn't a starter he could eat but he would be happy with a small salad or a...
