Le Pirate nestles with cheerful incongruence in one of Wimereux’s residential streets, a block or two back from the beach. It resembles one of those houses you see sometimes where dad has been to B&Q (or perhaps, more appropriately, to Mr. Bricolage), then returned home and extensively themed the place to impress the kids, much to the neighbours’ chagrin. I’d... More

We stayed over night in Wimereux on our way to Euro Disney I searched for places to eat close to where we were staying and Le Pirate seemed to get average reviews, But seemed a hit with children due to the theme. The staff spoke little English but were very helpful & friendly, The food was outstanding there were 8... More

Was last there in the summer and it's got better .... The service is still incredibly friendly and lots of bits and pieces have been smartened up. We had a mixed bag of food i.e. Pizza, Salad, Spaghetti etc and it was all good. It's not Michelin star cuisine, but incredibly friendly and they love kids.

Excellent wood fired pizza. Outside didn't look very inviting but I'm glad we got beyond there. We had a very enjoyable meal.

When I'm visiting the Opal Coast I always try to have at least one dinner here. It is an awesome place and yes, one could frown when seeing the outside or even the inside decoration. But that is not what counts. Service is great, people very friendly and the food (pizza) simply delicious. Highly recommended.

We read the earlier reviews and decided that even though the exterior isn't that inviting we would give it a go. Our 5yo LOVED the pirate theme, the staff were very accommodating to her. We all had a fab meal (one of the best pizzas I've ever had!) and would definitely go back.

Not sure about this one from outside. However, inside the welcome was warm and the place opened up like a tardis. The pirate nick nacks inside amused the children & I admit the treasure map on the wall was well done. Plenty of choice on the menu, with a vast range of pizzas.

Good restaurant with plain simple food - pizza's etc. Doesn't pretend to be haute cuisine but fine for a simple meal which the kids loved. Prices are very reasonable.
