This amazing restaurant set inside the Hotel Atlantic and the creation of Alain Delpierre, his wife Beatrice, son Benjamin, and other members of the family. They set up this hotel and restaurant 20 years ago and we first visited them soon after. 24/10 was my wife's birthday and we had the E39.50 4-course seasonal menu with appetiser, seafood course, fish... Poor, unprofessional service. Although half of the dishes were excellent (the main course was mostly 'average', but preceding courses elegant), we did not enjoy our experience in this would-be smart restaurant: we asked the most logical request in this setting: wines matching the different dishes. The lady who took this simple order repeated our request as "matching wines with the different... More

We had a great dinner here - we went for the menu de saison, which was 4 delicious courses for a very good value E39.50 each. The meal started with amuses bouches, which were lovely, then haddock tartare (who would believe I would enjoy raw fish so much?), crevettes with a lovely ragout and egg parfait, then fish or pork... We have eaten and stayed at the Atlantic many times, eating upstairs in the main restaurant where the food and service is excellent. However, we are beginning to consider a different style of eating that involves what I call food that requires ' getting your fork into it'.. It's for this reason I always have my first oysters of the... More

We've used this restaurant several times. Yes, it's expensive, but never fails to deliver. The turbot dishes are superb. Service excellent although I'd be happier managing the wine myself.

This is usually an excellent restaurant the food first class. Sometimes the service is hit and miss. But worth it for the food.

We just had a meal at La Liegeoise and the food was absolutely superb, the service excellent without being pompous. We booked well ahead of our visit and asked a table by the window but did not get one. I guess these tables are for the residents and regulars. The Atlantic is right by the sea and the view from... This was probably our fifth meal in this restaurant in two or three years – more because we like the hotel’s sea-facing rooms and because it is a convenient stopover on the way to or from the South than because we are crazy about the food. Some meals have been better than others (and curiously the best have been on... More

We stayed in the hotel (see review) and ate dinner here. Superb food and wine served in a traditional french manner ie quite formal by father and son chefs. The "set" menus are really good value considering the quality of the food and compared with the overpriced meals we get in England. Wonderful fresh fish dominates, as it should. Great... More
