Description: Located on the seafront promenade in Wimereux, on the north eastern coast of France, La Ligeoise is renowned for its excellent seafood menu and ocean views. This restaurant has buckets of old-school seaside style, and regulars recommend ordering the Promenade en Mer a selection of up to seven courses from Alain Delpierres innovative French menu. We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary by sampling the 7 course menu, with accompanying wines - what a wonderful experience. Every single course was superb, beautifully cooked and presented and attention to detail was second to none. The sommelier warrants a special mention; his knowledge of the wines he paired with each course was excellent and his descriptions of each... More

Having stayed several times at the excellent Atlantic hotel, the “fermeture hebdomadaire” of our long-term Wimereux favourite, L’Epicure, persuaded us it was time to try the hotel’s “gastronomic” restaurant, the Liegeoise. A plaque in the street proclaims the fact that the chef is a “Maitre Cuisinier de France” and you have to jump through all manner of challenging technical hoops... More

Nice restaurant however down stairs was full, so the only option was the fine dining area upstairs, it was very expensive and with extremely small portions. £17 euros for a cheese platter = 4 minuscule pieces of cheese with nothing to accompany it, no chutney or biscuits. Overall disappointing

We have been visiting Wimereux for many years as a family...le liegeoise is now firmly in our repertoire of places to celebrate special occasions. Do not expect a typical French plat de jour experience; this is a formal restaurant with an excellent standard of cuisine, and a great wine list. The tasting menu changes each day, and therefore can vary... More

Having been unable to eat here on several occassions due to poor timing on our part , we reserved a table here and stayed overnight in Wimereux to facilitate the dining experience. We were not disappointed. Service is simply incredible, Highly polished professionals, friendly and more than willing ot assist with the menu and selection. Our window seat giving us... More

Top quality French cuisine, skilfully and expertly prepared and beautifully presented. Others have complained about the service but we had no such problems.

We booked this restaurant on a recommendation as it was our 21st wedding anniversary and we wanted to do something special. The view across the beach as the sun was setting made a lovely backdrop to the evening - tip try to get a table near the window if you can. The dining room is very formal with high ceilings... More

This small town has several restaurants - all admirably covered by Trip Adviser reviews. So it was rather more by mistake than intention that four of us entered "La Liegeoise" run by Alain & Benjamin Delpierre about whom we had read in a magazine. The restaurant is on the first floor overlooking the sea and is spacious with a welcoming... More
