Great lunch brake in Ax-Les-Terme

My wife and I visited this small place for lunch and had very nice menu at a reasonable price EUR 16. Try also the house wine Rosé at EUR6 for ½l. Very local and good service. We can recommend.

We shared a cheese fondu, we had a choice of about 8 different cheese mixes never mind the meat fondu. It came with loads of bread and a salad, charcuterie and potatoes. We both have good appetites and we struggled to finish, we had a bottle of Chardonnay and it was lovely €15, worth the extra. I definitely recommend this... More

We both had Tartiflettes which we enjoyed. The service was good but I had a glass of house red which gave me a headache the next day. Reasonably priced for the area.

The starter of fruit and salad was interesting and fun if not a bit steep at 10€. Had the plat de jour which was an excellent meal of two god chunks of pork rib steak, in a great mushroom sauce with roast aubergine, tomato and chips. Good value at 12€. Partners main wasnt so good - although tasty etc etc... More

We stopped off in Ax on our way back from a ski-ing weekend in Andorra and this was a completely random choice. You get the impression that it's about three very old flats cobbled together to form a kitchen and two dining rooms, and the restaurant has an "Aladdin's cave meets Rasta Yeti" vibe going on...drafty cracks in the walls... Not many places are open in Ax on a December Sunday night. Six of us arrived without any reservation and a table was quickly set up for us. After ordering, one of us changed his mind about the main, which was gracefully accommodated. The food, though not outstanding (one of us ordered some soup and it was full of bones),... More

really great staff here, very helpful, very accommodating, always a smile. The food is good too, local fare and good portions. We stayed a week in the town and ate here three times, couldn't find anything to beat it for variety and value.

I was there three days ago with my wife. We chose both the 16 euros menu. The restaurant is cozy and the service ok. The food was reasonable and the only fault was that the "confit de canard" (duck) was rather spicy for our taste and the red wine was awful (as in most places around here; I now understand... More

Cosy and welcoming ! Nice fondue and friendly staff. A good choice. It is on the pedestrian street between the roundabout on main road and the square close to the cable car... down in town.
